1st grow need suggestions...

i started off germinating the seeds 5 at a time 4 sprouted i planted 2 in one pot and the other 2 had their own pots (didnt have enough pots for each of them) the pots are just some basic small plastic plant cup with holes in the bottom. Suprisingly the 2 plants in the same pot were the only ones to survive the other 2 didnt grow after i planted them in the soil.
The soil i used is some seed startin soil??? IDK it was laying around in the garage so i used it. Right now the plants are almost 2 weeks old from when i germinated them and they are about 6 inches tall. i am getting ready to transplant them into their own pot most likely a 1 gallon pot. I am growing indoors, using just a cool white fluorescent light bulb (limited on cash) i am watering the plants with a MiracleGrow root starter diluted in water... ANY SUGGESTIONS OR TIPS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

okay lot of things here. First of all if your seeds germinated than never popped out of soil it's probably because the soil wasn't moist enough for them to continue germinating. Keep your medium moist until they pop. Secondly, you should try to stay away from growing more than one plant per pot because the roots will get tangled and your going to need twice the space as one plant container. Since your going to do it I say just pick the one that doesn't grow as good and leave the stronger of the 2 seedlings to grow or pot into a large container like a 5 gallon bucket from a hardware store. Just easier to grow one per pot. Plant some more seeds I assume they are bagseeds and are plentiful. As yo've already discovered not all your seeds will germ but with the rightconditions you can get almost 100% success rate. You don't have to transplant from a paper twoel to soil, you could also just plant the seeds directly into moist medium and put in a minigreenhouse or put saran wrap over the tops of your pots until sprouts appear. Lastly your going to need better lights. You said you were broke but it's okay CFLs are cheap. I personally picked up 2 27 watt daylight CFLs for 3$ at home depot the other day. Buy three packs of those and your sitting with over 10,000 lumens for 10$. You could also get some extra soft white CFLs for flowering and some adapters so you can plug multiple bulbs into one lamp. Good luck

Get yourself some real fertilizer. Miracle Grow products dont work well with Mj.
Jacks professional is a good one for someone with limited funds.

G'luck ;)
