i normally top at 4 nodes , then pinch the branches down a couple times then tie them down .... this really helps with a flat canopy and that is what you need when running lower watt's to make the most of it

random question but does the light make the blankets glow ?
and can people see the aliens landing from the outside of the house ?

Makes sense. I pretty much just let them do their thing because I had no idea wtf I was doing :) most of them are going to end up being three feet tall at the end of flowering lol.

And I've been saving seeds too because when I move into my own 2 br house I will be setting up an entire grow room so I don't have to work two jobs anymore :) this was all just kind of an experiment to prove to myself I could do it at all. And I've learned a lot.
i would stick a tent in the room if it was me
So those are females that got pollinated?
ya that is one of my mom's had 11 ( actually had more like upwards of 50 but i culled the numbers way down in veg )this round for seed's after this is balls to the wall to make up for lost time
it doesnt effect them nearly this bad if you wait until later in flower these all got hit early early

I know I don't have enough light, but I'm not sure exactly how much I need. How many watts/lumens are needed per plant. Or, how.many watts in total for an approx. 2x4ft area with six plants.

100w a plant or so depending on what kind of lighting ....... a 600w would cover 3x4 pretty nice a 2x4 youre prolly better off running led's or cfl's or something ......
i grew in a 3x4x5 for a while and its cramped with a cooltube in there and all the ducting

im using a 400w hps now but its raised up higher this was a seed run is the only reason i had so many plants going normally i would have 6 smaller plants or 2 bigger ones

I have two par 38 phillips led floodlights 120w equivalent(20 used) and five 14w cfls.. I was going to buy some 23w cfls because they're cheap.

i would just run 12/12 from seed in like a 1 gal top it at the 3rd node and tie the branches down .......
if you spread the lights out like a light a cola or stick them in between the cola's then it'll work out ......
the CFL's i run are like 20 bucks a piece but they are 55-60 watts an two of those will handle a plant pretty well

I read this entire thread. Wtf. Props to you grower in fla. That police state is probably ne of the hardest to grow in, i would know.
However, from looking at the pics and info you gave, i think you should read up on some more beginner growing threads. No offence to anyone here, some information was valid, but most was not.
Start with a proper soil, a good beginner soil is fox farm ocean forest. No need for nutes for atleast 3 weeks. Stop with the time released ferts. They will do no good. And stop using cfls, outdoors. Thats counter productive.

However you CAN grow nice plants safely outdoors in the florida sun.
On hotter days keep them in the shade alittle. The fan is a good idea because of them being on a lani.
And in all reality though, indoor is the way to go if its illegal in your state. (Fla) yes i know the vote is coming in nov. But even then legalized cannabis for medical wont happen over night. Saftey first.
No need to get busted over a few plants.

Thank you for the advice :)
I am no longer using.the cfls outside, I moved them inside a while ago. I also stopped using nutes when I transplanted them into their final container. And I know I have a lot to learn lol.. trust me I read about different topics every day. I was actually looking at fox farms organic nutes and soil.yesterday.
