Looking really nice there ajdaro and very healthy plant can't wait to see more of your progress. . I am a first time grower aswell just experimenting like you but your setup looks really good compare to mine I am at week 4 of flowering with about the same amount of lighting as you but not such a good setup like you.. For me the first 3 weeks of flowering felt really slow in progress and now in week 4 I'm getting a bit excited as they have picked up speed in flowering.. your plant looks amazing though.. peace dude20150123_182416.jpg

Thanks for the response Richard your plants looking good as well yours looks a lot taller than mine I think that will be a pretty big bud on top!! This isn't my first grow but it is my first with cfls and the Lst this far I'm definatly seeing the benefits of breaking up the dominance of the tops everytime one takes charge I tie it down then all the others start growing faster not having done this before its seriously amazing me. From soil to top of canopy is only like 8" but the Canopy is over 1 square foot with over 30 tops there were more but I didnt think they would reach the light so I cut them so the others would grow faster I will be checking in on yours as well I want to see your final yeild

Thanks I'm not waiting to get a lot from my plants as I didn't have the resources and a nice setup but I just wanted to experiment a little to see with my own eyes how cannabis plants grow and generally get the hang of things as I want to do a good grow next winter with hps lamps and good strains from the Internet.. and I've seen a few grows online like yours were you snap the branches to create this effect it looks very impressive I would like to do something like this but I'm afraid cause I haven't got much experience maybe next winter I will try this technique with just normally seeds I get from friends here I don't want to risk it with bought seeds incase I ruin them lmao. But this whole growing weed is quite exciting I love it.. il definitely keep an eye on your journal very impressive plant you have there hopefully one day I will be able to achieve something like this....

Aj, your plants look great, Never seen a scrog with CFL's, Richard yours looks good also, but you need to turn your lights sideways or drop them lower and sorrond , so your buds will benefit from more light. More light from the curls, than from the tips. good luck and happy growing guys.

Thanks hotshot it's actually just one plant with a lot of spread out tops and yea I did the scrog to make the best use of a limited light source "cfls" hoping this will counterbalance some of what I'm missing in light intensity

Yea I understand not wanting to f$$$ up but you got to try to learn plus I didn't supercrop which is where you slightly break the branches I just bend them over with our causing damage and hold them in place with wire or tuck them under my screen I didnt want to try supercroping either it's a high stress training method I used Lst or low stress training which is anything that doesn't physically harm the plant that way there's no recovery period I did defoliate some though just to allow better light distribution across the board

I am also a first time grower with CFL and she's on her flowering stage.Your plant is very greenish with thick leaves. It's a good sign, so it can suck all the good from your lights and produce energy that the pant needed for flowering (according to some blogs I read :)). Hope to see some pics of her with Big Big smiley faces on tops. Roll it up.

Defoliatio
What does defoliate mean? Sorry for being a noobster lol I'm still learning

defoliation is a tech involving the strategic removal of leaves-(foliage) throughout the plants life in order to evenly distribute light while also slowing down certain areas if necesary or boosting growth at different times during its life and don't worry about questions we all have to learn somehow

I believe you will reach your 3 oz goal. I got an oz just out of one toping under Cfl's.

Awesome I hope I do if I go by the 1/3 gram per watt rule of thumb could be looking at around 4 o I'm adding another 55 w 2700kelvin 3400 est lumen output bulb in tommorow hopefully that will kick it up a notch ill then be running 305 actual watts and just under 19,000 lumens in the 2700 k range on a little over a 1square foot area with all cfls

No, it is reporting an error. I have had the same problem at times. You just have to hit more options when it does that and put it in again.
