1st Attempt with Autos: DP Think Different

I have 3 think differents grown in 2 gallons of soil.

They are currently 70 days from seed and are looking great. I would say they have about 2 ounces per on them under a 1000 watt hps along with 8 other autos. They are taking longer then all the other autos however, the first one will be finished in two weeks but the other two will probably go another three weeks. Cheers.
Hey Dank, did those Thinks turn out alright?

How long did you run them?

Eleventysix, they're definitely filling in! #1 and 2 haven't quite outgrown their big white hairs, but they swell a bit more every day!
Are you flushing ferts/chems out? What's your grow medium consist of? I've never flushed before, much less made it this far into my own grow... Containing the excitement can be difficult :hump::hump::hump::hump::hump:

Dookz - Thanks a bunch mate! This Nikon Coolpix really brings out their beauty, lol

So here are the 3 Think Differents at day 81

#3 I scoped out the trichs on her last night, and most of them look cloudy with a slight % of clear; no amber yet.
I'm guessing she should be chopped this week. Not sure if it should be before or after 90 days. What do you guys think? DSCN2020.JPGDSCN2021.JPGDSCN2022.JPGDSCN2023.JPGDSCN2024.JPG

#2 To me she looks like she'll go another two weeks?? DSCN2029.JPGDSCN2030.JPGDSCN2031.JPGDSCN2032.JPGDSCN2033.JPG

#1 81 days and she's still got huge pistils that haven't started discoloring  DSCN2025.JPGDSCN2026.JPGDSCN2027.JPGDSCN2028.JPG

Looking Good, What do your trichs look like? Cloudy?

My 1st Auto Sweet Auto Skunk is is day 20

Will you do auto's again?

Yes HD! Last time I checked, the trichs on #3 looked nearly 100% cloudy, with very little clear and no amber that I noticed.

I haven't given #2 a full scoping, but I checked the main cola and it was mostly cloudy with a slight % of clear.

Next I plan doing either autoMazar or Autoextreme. The Dutch Passion genetics look pretty ridiculous :weed:

Any pics of your woman?

Growth patterns are very different, slight nute burn when transplanted, but recovered nicely

Orcannic gannabis they really fattened up and look awesome!!! How long did ya flush em? I'd say they are just about ready maybe a couple days.... Could take em now if ya wanted haha

HD, it looks good, and right on schedule . They grow up so fast  The autos definitely recover quickly; I snapped #3's stalk in half around day 50-60 during this grow and patched her with duct tape. Can't even tell it broke now.

Thanks eleventysix. I didn't flush since their soil is organic, and most people seem to say there's nothing to flush out of it :-?
I haven't chopped #3 yet only because I still notice a few clear trichs, and no amber, As well as a few whitish calyxes. I'll let her go a few more and keep a close eye out.|
Perhaps these pics can shed more light (day 90) photo.JPGphoto (1).JPGphoto (3).JPGphoto (4).JPGphoto (5).JPG

Ya I would say ya got a little while I'm not big on taking mine until most of the leaves yellow out or die off ... But my god your ladies are gorgeous!!!! :weed:

Just an update on the three original girls. They're all 98 days today

#2: she's a heavy feeder for sure. Her pistils are still kind of thick, but are also turning a little orange. Buds are dense and loooaded with trichs. Growing her was the easy part; what's giving me trouble is deciding when to harvest  I originally thought the only factor to examine for harvesting was trich profile, but now I think I'm confusing myself while being concerned about pistil degradation. The pictures could be better, but does she look ready/close to ready? #1: She's been the "problem child" out of the three. Had some pretty bad nute burn or something on her top main leaves throughout nearly the whole grow, but she's making a comeback. She smells wicked, waaay stronger than her siblings DSCN2226.JPGDSCN2227.JPGDSCN2228.JPGDSCN2229.JPGDSCN2230.JPGDSCN2232.JPGDSCN2233.JPGDSCN2234.JPG

#3: Yeah, I STILL haven't chopped her! Problem is I still don't see any amber in the trichomes and I'm starting to wonder if that's even important anymore since she's nearly 100 days and still looks 90% cloudy... Her pistils are almost 100% orange'd. I think I need to just suck it up and cut her down tomorrow DSCN2239.JPGDSCN2240.JPGDSCN2241.JPGDSCN2242.JPGDSCN2243.JPGDSCN2244.JPGDSCN2245.JPGDSCN2246.JPGDSCN2247.JPGDSCN2248.JPGDSCN2249.JPG

I chopped my first girl down at 99 days! The chop was pretty exciting, but I'm hoping my judgement on harvest was okay too.
I think she could've gone a few more days, but all of the stigmas were also orange, and I kept thinking I was starting to see shades of amber in very few trichs, so.. *shrugs*
Should I have waited until the stigmas were dark red and falling down, or is it acceptable if they're still kind of erect?
The buds are decently sized, no jaw droppers. If they look too early/late, let me know!

everything looks good to me!! Hell I took my biggest think different at 90 days! congrats on the harvest! your gonna have some mighty fine smoke! Man if you really like autos and want to learn more and grow more I can give you a forum I'm on that is very informative on autos... the Dutch Passion team have their own forum on there so if help is every needed, ya get what I'm saying but I hope you end up with a damn good yield!!

You inspired me to grow my order and grow my own autos. TD's look like a great yielder so I'll cop those and a few more. Look forward to this years season.

Thank guys! Eleventysix, I hope the smoke is great. The smoke report you gave on your two gets me pumped to try it :hump: If you could give me the forum that'd be awesome! I'm looking into trying out some dp Autoextreme after I chop a few more girls down. At least that's the plan. I've been guessing the yield looks like a little over an oz. Maybe a quart jar and 1/2? It's almost dry :weed:

Think Diff #1 is at 107 days right now. I put her in a larger pot because she looks like she can go a few more weeks No 1 107(2).jpegNo 1 107.jpeg
#2 still has some thick white hairs, but a lot of bright orange too. Day 107 No 2 107(2).jpegNo 2 107(3).jpegNo 2 107.jpeg

#4. Day 71. She's been droopy towards her tops for over a week, so I'm letting her dry out a bit, in suspicion of over watering. DSCN2317.JPGDSCN2318.JPGDSCN2319.JPG
#5. Don't have much to say about her. I think she looks pretty nice, day 71 DSCN2325.JPGDSCN2326.JPG

Veneno day 107. About 32 days flwr! DSCN2331.JPGVeneno 107(2).jpeg

This is supposed to be Dinafem Cheese, but it's had pistils for a few months now and has shown no sign of flowering yet, so I just assumed it was a Cheese auto  She's 89 days old, today I put her in a (7 gal?) larger pot DSCN2334.JPGDSCN2335.JPG I'm getting pretty concerned about why she's not showing any pistil growth, but they're definitely there

Think Different #3 yielded about 54g dry. Chopped every branch off and dried for about 5 days before jarring. The buds have a very sweet, cheesy smell. Odorous, but not overpowering.
The high is very heady! Not much drowsiness or stoney-ness, but a strong mental focus and giddines. It doesn't last very long, maybe an hour and a half before effects begin tapering. Buds are solid, not very big, but really frosty.

#2, I chopped her at 110 days. I think she could've gone longer....but, I was in a sticky, kind of panicky situation with her. She yielded 77g dry! Her hairs are all orange, but they aren't quite hugging the buds, and hadn't quite turned red. The smell almost reminds me of green tea with a sweet and subtle dank-ness. Buds are medium sized and kind of fluffy. The high is very similar to #3, but with a bit more of a stone to it. DSCN2353.JPGDSCN2356.JPGDSCN2359.JPGDSCN2360.JPG

Annnnnd I chopped #1 at 124 days. Is that pretty damn long for a think different? She seemed to be in limbo for a little while during the grow while the other two kept chugging along, BUT, she smells the best, by far. Very strong and stinky:hump: I waited until her pistils were red and didn't stand out much She had a dank smell early on in her flowering; the other two never really had a strong smell. Looking forward to trying her. Currently drying for 3 days.

I think this type of strain would be yield better in a scrog, but wouldn't any? I could've (should've) used more lst' ing, but I look forward to trying different things in the future. And smoking once some bud is finished curing!
