18/6 light can i flip to 12/12

Ok so here's the deal. I have a Blue Mammoth Auto in my tent. Supposed to be 70ish days total. It's not even gonna be close to 70 days. It started flowering at like 34-35 days. And 5 weeks flowering isn't gonna finish it. I have 2 other photos in my tent with it. That have been vegging the entire time. So at 70 days I'm looking at 10 weeks veg. And it's already pushing on the sides of the tent in veg. The stretch is gonna kill me. And I'm gonna run out of room. Bc I also have a clone from it that I mainlined. It won't take up too much space hopefully.

So my question is, do you think it's gonna hurt the auto flipping to 12/12 so I can start the flower cycle on the other 2 I have. I'm sure it's gonna hurt yield. But I'm already 45 days into flower for the auto. And it looks way behind schedule. I know they grow best with longer light cycles.

Hopefully some of you auto guys can give me some advice. Here's a few pics of the auto and the photos I got going in the same tent.

You could switch to any light cycle you want. Anything under 18 hours is probably going to reduce the yield.

I grew their blue mammoth a long time ago and they only took about 11 weeks total

Yeah it's barneys... I've grown out their stuff before. NVR had a problem. Not that it's a problem. Bc I'm not worried about it. It was a freebie. And I'm using freebie nutes. I'm knew it would hurt yield. I have some honey bee pollen I thought about hittin it with. Bc first generation won't all be auto. And could be a good cross. It really has a ton of blueberry pheno. Like it really does have good qualities I would look for in a 10 pack of regs. Honestly. Like if they said there was one perfect smelling pheno in the mammoth autos. To me this would be the one. Just acted weird. And it is super sticky. Your fingers stick to the stalk. I just didn't know if it would way stress it. But it looks good. But like I said yield will be way down, hell might get lucky and it flower like a photo who knows. But it did seem to quit flowering until I flipped to 12/12. But is flowering again now. This was this morning.. On the right.

Good to hear it was good smoke. It.might only yield 10 grams hell who knows. Lol. I'm looking forward to the pineapple express version 2 that's next to it.

Never done autos or indoor, so take my advice with a grain of salt . . . . . But what is your light situation? Buds look like they could use more light. But at this point I would worry about the photos. They are going to give you more smoke. If it gets too crowded, chop the auto and let the PE2 stretch it's legs.

And by all mean, when you have the chance to make a good semiautomatic cross, make it. The seeds will still retain the auto trait, but can be vegged past sexual maturity with long hours of light. This will let you get more size to them, then they will flower outdoors in the middle of summer when the light is at it's best.

I got plenty of light. 800 watts hps. I stunted like 3 times. I had NVR grown autos before. I didn't do any research I just threw it in for funsies. I transplanted it and stunted it. Then I switched nutes halfway through. The tent it's in is 100 watt per square foot. It's lookn better now. But it's still not ready. So I may let it go one more week. And just chop it to make coconut oil.

"They" do say autos can be messed up by transplanting. That might be the problem. But what do I know about autos? Next to nothing.

Why are you wondering if you can flip lights anyway with autos? They are going to flower when they flower anyway. Lights do not determine the pre flower or flower at all!! they are called AUTO for this reason!!!

Autos do have a problem IF you transplant more than one time. I have two that I had to transplant two different times and it took a couple weeks to get back to growing, but they are doing great!! I grow indoors organic.

let it do its own thing!! you cannot put autos on any schedule, no matter what the place you bought your seeds from says. They will make it, just give them time.

Lights do not determine when autos flower at all!! It is bad that autos keep getting put in the same category as the other seeds!! Ppl. need to read up on autos so you know for yourself. THEY ARE IN THEIR OWN CATEGORY FOR A SIMPLE REASON-- THEY ARE AUTOS AND HAVE RUDERALIS GENETICS!!

Oh my goodness. lights DO NOT determine when an auto flowers!!! why in the heck do ppl. keep saying this!!! autos will automatically do there own thing when they do. no fricking time limit do you give them!!!

I'd just flip and focus on the photos , you said you just threw them in to see what would happen and it's a freebie, you saw , now pump that 800w into some real bud

I didn't say my light determined it. Did I? No I didnt. I know autos flower on their own. I was asking bc I didn't know if it stress it even more and hermie on me or something. Bc I have other shit I'm more concerned with.

No need to shout. I am getting up there in years, but my hearing is still pretty good.

I think the OP's question was what effect would 12/12 have on my autos because I have to flower my photos in the same space. But this was days ago, so I may be remembering it all wrong.

Absolutely correct. I've already switched my lighting cycle. I know it killed the yield. But that's ok. Because the others I have in there I think are gonna yield pretty goo

not really, wont make much a huge difference on harvest. i tested 18-6 and 24-0 of the same strain and the harvest was within 10% of each other. could have been number of things to cause that.
