Ok I am on my first grow. It's just bagseed. I started this grow only to learn. I am doing a hydro setup that is just a drip system for the veg phase and mothers. I am using Fluros for my lighting as of now. My plants are 16 days old and I think they look good. I started out using distilled water. Didn't like the room I picked them to be in cause it was too small for my plans so when I moved rooms I changed water. Only had 12gallons of distilled so I used 2 gallons of tap water. My tap water is not bad stuff. After the switch I noticed a change in 1 of the plants. It started getting brown spots on the lower 2 leaves. Then a couple days later I noticed it had spread to another plant. At this point I go to get distilled water but they are sold out so I got purified water instead. The plant that started looking bad first has almost stopped growing. The other plant is still doing great. The plant in just the STG is the one that started it all. I keep my pH between 5.8-6.1 I am using 1/4 strength Ionic nutes. Now what has me worried is that the brown spots has started to spread to ALL the plants. 5 total. Now it is on most leaves not just the lower ones..Any clue as to what this can be?? I want to get this right before my WW and Mazar get too much bigger and I have problems with them. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the crappy pics all I have is my cell phone.

Calcium deficiency. Hydro growers usually have to deal with mineral deficiencies of this sort most of the time. I suggest you check if your nutes have any calcium. If they do, you can raise the dosage. If you're worried of nute burn or don't have calcium, buy some Cal-Mag from a plant store.

No doubt... you need CalMag. Especially with the distilled H2O.

Thanks for the responses! I have been using Ionic nutes. However I have some Botanicare TriFlex I can start using instead.. I am thinking of changing the water again and going back to all distilled and then adding the Tri Flex and see what happens. I will see about picking up some Cal-Mag tomorrow from the hydro shop.
