Oh yes cuz I ran across some industral hps and ther 1500 watts and i will hav 6 to 10 under it. Rite now I am re-veg 2 of my female that i grew outside and plan on cloning off them that way I do not waste my time with males. So 150 watt I think you would be fine with 3 or 4. Good luck keep us posted

wassup guys this my first time growing, and i dont want to spend to much to grow my plants. i'll only be growing maybe 1-2 plants but is it really necessary to buy a MH lamp for flowering, or will the hps lamp be sufficient for both vegatative and flowering states

also, is a 150 watt hps light gonna cost that much on electricity if ran for 16 hours a day? i live with my parents and am wondering if there will be a giant skyrocket on the electric bill that ill get yelled at for lol

most use MH for grow and HPS for flowering, from what i have read a MH will do grow and flower as will the HPS you're just not gonna get as good results.

Why not use compact florescents(energy saver light bulbs) for the grow stage on 18 hours a day then switch to HPS for flowering on a 12 on 12 off scuedule, this wont cost much to run.

Id also say choose a shorter flowering indica strain so you minimize how long the HPS needs to be on for.

Good luck.

Yes that would be fine.

Just remember even when using a low wattage of HPS always have good ventilation.

ok thanks for the advice, how many of the compact flourescent lights do you think i'll need to light 1-2 plants?

also i was looking up on htgsupply how much a bulb would cost (around $30) but then they had the ballasts...i dont really know what they are for and if they are necessary what kind would i use with a 150w hps? sorry i am new at growing

look here for an idea of what you need. i would think you need at least a light a plant but maybe some one else will say for sure.

The ballast controls the lamp by igniting it etc so you need it with hps...

Have a look at hps/mh duel ballast if you go that route.

i get all mine for free of a family member so i just get what i can if you no what i mean.

if u r checking out htg u should buy 150 hps system or the compact t5s u can use those thru ur whole stage and dont have to worry about elec bill
