135w LED Cabinet Grow

Hello this is my first grow in with led. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

I got one a plastic cabinet from Wally World and outfitted it with some reflectix, a cooling fan, carbon filter, and 135w image.jpgimage.jpg
I did DWC with a nutrient success kit from TechnaFlora. I was very happy with the results. I tweaked the formula a little for my own liking.

I just used some bag seed because this was my first grow and I didn't want to kill good genetics. Which as it seems I actually got pretty lucky as far as seeds go. If there is anything that anyone can look at to tell me what strain this is I would love to hear guesses. I don't have too many non led lit pics though, so it will probably be next to impossible.

Here's a little later on...image.jpg

She ended up getting pretty bushy. I was a bit bashful to do any trimming like, said this is my first grow so I did want to mess anything up.

She got so big I had to adjust the light and move it up higher that it was built for.

This is right before harvest. Everything is drying out now. About ready to be cured.

So far I very happy with what I've done however I do see a lot of room to learn and look forward to trying some new fun things on new techniques

Sorry for revealing my whole grow at once and not keeping to the standard "journal" style. I'll cringe logically post pics on my next grow. Plus, once I cut everything off the stem I will post what my final weight is so that will give me something else to post about.

Thanks for reading and checking out my grow. I would love to hear what you think.

Great job for the first time. Much better than my first experiment. Welcome to ya!
Thanks. Im hoping to do something like you have with the support system on the next run.

She got real bushy and the bottom buds didn't get any light anyways they just turned into a lot of little popcorn buds at the bottom that I probably should've chopped. But I like the idea of a lot of top colas all with good light exposure.

What were your growing specifications and equipment used. PH consistency level, Humidity moisture, Res/room temp, Light regiment, Res changes, water used. All this info will help drifters as your bag seed grow looks like a success under that 135w led. My display picture or avatar or what ever it is. Is my Afghan Kush under a 180w led which might be from the same manufacturer on eBay. It was 2 ounces i'm curious to see what you get with that 135w.

Not bad, considering your light may only actually output 90 watts or so to the diodes, you are about @ .5 g/w . Better than some hps #'s that some get, starting out.

Thank you Abiqua, I was happy with the results but I felt like I was able to obtain much better results if I had been more scientific with my growing. By scientific I mean recording all my data in a table allowing me to monitor all aspects and changes then make changes based on visual abnormalities in my plant. I can go back and my table will tell me where I went wrong that is what I'm doing with my current grow. I'm hoping for 3 ounces. Anyways enough with me, I'm not her to thread jack just responding to your comment.

So the final dried cured weigh in came in at 29grams. :bigjoint:

Plus about 8 grams of little popcorn nuggets and cuttings that'll I'll probably make into some butter.

So I'm pretty happy with the final results. I plan on getting another grow going in a couple of weeks which I'm excited for.

I tried to maintain around 5.6 to 6.0 pH. I did water changes every week with a couple hours of the roots soaking in a flushing solution. In the last few weeks, I had to add water in between changes. This would dilute my pH a little but I wouldn't let it go above 6.5 throughout the week.

Temp was never lower than 60 degree f. Sometimes went up to 90 but that was only for a day or 2. Average temp was around 78. and humidity was a little high around 75%. I was thinking about installing a little dehumidifier to try and combat that but I didn't have any issues with mold or bugs or anything so we'll see.

Good job!! An ounce for your first hydroponics ain't bad and i'm sure you will see bigger and better things as you go on learning. I am at 25 days into my hydro grow after taking time off and I have already messed up so i'm currently dealing with that. I ordered a TDS meter and set my res to 500ppm and burned the life out of my early veg babies :(. I thought it was a deficiency because I have had my TDS way higher. But either my meter needs to be calibrated or my girls are sensitive. Anyways.. I tried coming online and getting help from RIU but, apparently my questions weren't worth an answer because both the threads were ignored. So I punished my plant for a couple of days before I read my daily log and seen the bad growth perfectly aligned with the solution being revved up from 325 - 500 ppm at one point i had it 550. Needless to say I flushed the res. put my solution down to 200 for the first day. 250 the second and third, and today I have it at 297. I have been adding while watching the daily fluctuation of my solution levels so hopefully, my plants will make a full recovery.Well, almost full recovery some of my plant is never going to recover but the burning has stopped it's spreading. Now all I have to do is wait for growth to resume as it has hit a dead stop. Little bit of a road block but hopefully after this I will be in a good stride.
