12xCXB3590 Passively Cooled

The 3 Herijuana's in my outdoor garden came up with a massive mold attack, so half of it was thrown away...
But still a nice result



And just visited the guerilla spot, it was late at night, so just a silhouette for indication, plants reached a height of 3.5 meters!



Soon i'm starting a build for someone in my family, 4x cxb3590 @ 1400 in a small tent, i'll post it when ready

Hey @Netherfly , love the build. I was wondering what you were using for your power inlet! I'm trying to figure out a clean way to make an input box, looking for something exactly like that. Do you have the info on that part, I couldn't find it anywhere in your thread. If you're using the 240s, you're running a 6A minimum inlet, correct?

very nice clean build. cooling performance should be very good or? how long is this lamp? 80cm or 100cm? how much does it weight?
the pinfin heatsink are 100mm diameter? the dimmer has 2 step?100% and 50%

I would estimate the weight about 1.5 kilos, lenght = 90cm, pinfin heatsink = 105mm diameter, 120mm pc fans, 2 step dimmer indeed!

Oh, and i need to measure HS temps with my IR gun, i'll post results when i get to it.

Looks really nice! Did you put fans at both ends or just one? I've had best luck when using just one fan, to draw heat from the tunnel.

he used 2 fans, if you check a bit closer the pictures you can see it

after watching again the pictures, i wonder how you had acces to the inside of the bar? how you could mount all this inner stuff

Made a few drawings of a very similar build. Fans/fencepost/pinfins but the drivers were remote. Would love to see readings from 1st HS vs. last in the tube.

Where did you get the square tube?

I've seen your postings you put 6 and then 5.
you apply some apical pruning?

Oh its nearing, last week i drove by a shop who has the 12tons press, but they where on a holiday @ the time... soooon

For redundancy i put 2 fans in there, they are running @ only 7 volts, so very quiet... in my experience with these pinfin heatsinks, they only need a little airflow, and all is good

The square tube was cut and glued by someone i know in the advertisement display business

Right now i have 4 smart pots of 60cm diameter in the big tent, last grow i topped the plants just once, i'm still experimenting


Tonight i'm going to set up a 120cmx60cm tent with softbox and this beast @ a friends, pictures and also measured temps will follow!

90cm tube is easy to reach with my long arms also the holes in the bottom for the COB's can be used to reach cables.

So yesterday build the setup for a friend, 3x northern lights seeds are in the ground!

I measured the temperatures of the heatsinks (area just around the led chips) and surprisingly all 4 COB's stay around the same temperature, ambient temperature @ the time was around 22c, and the measured temps about 33c.

The softbox ventilator + variac in combination with the tube light is really a next level silent setup!





And in my own kitchen 2x OG kush and 5x Sugar Punch are nicely vegging:
