Anyone got some suggestions for a nice veg setup for my little 60x60x170cm (23.5"x23,5"x67") tent?

I am inclined to just hang 2 or 3 CXB3590 3500k 1050ma dimmable, but i didn't look into alternative veg spectrum combo's yet.

The idea is that it's primarily used as drying room/veg room, but also can be used to flower something if nessecary.

4) CXB 3590's 3500k 1) HLG 120 1050 4) of those sexy pin heatsinks in a 2' x 2' would give you a PPDF of 1024 for 150 watts.... :)

Down the road I want to have that same set up for breeding a testing... :)

Netherfly- The 3500k will surprise you in veg. I am actually seeing better vegging under a 3200K 95+cri than with my 4000k 80cri. I seem to be getting thicker branches and better looking structure. Maybe it's my imagination?
Would you be against 5000K & 6500K to veg then?

GreenGenes suggested 5000k and up.

I wouldn't be against it at all. I would still like to see how a 6500k would compare to the 3200k 95+. I have only notice this in the last 2 weeks. I was thinking that if he already had them, they would work just fine, but if you build a veg light, it is always only a veg light.

Thanks guys for chiming in!!!

I'm more than convinced of the veg capability's of 3500k, having witnessed it this first grow.
As a supplement i'll add one 5000k to the mix behind a switch.

Just emailed Kingbrite asking for the following

4x cxb3590 3500k
1x cxb3590 5000k
5x kb-d82-90rf reflector set
1x hlg-240h-c1050b

One of the 3500k i'll keep as a reserve for both setup's
I'm using the hlg-240h-c1050b while driving 4 COB's, only so i can interchange with the big setup if nessecary.
The other 3 3500k + 1 5000k in the 2x2 tent with a dimmer should give me plenty of options :bigjoint:

Now i can start thinking about an "active air-inlet"/"cooltube" system for the small tent
This should promote the airflow towards the big tent + allow cranking it way up without getting too hot in the small tent.

Get the 72v COB's and a HLG-185H-C500B and run them at 25W each , or you can get a HLG-185H-C700B for 50W each COB. peace

First off, hi from the Netherlands!! I read all my info off this forum I wanted to share my build with you guys:

What type of wires did you use for the setup (the wires connected to the cobs)?

An electrician @ my work was swapping the neon tubes for led tubes, and was collecting all the old wiring in a bucket.
This is what i used for all my wiring :bigjoint:

1mm solid copper electricity wire.

I am vegging with 2-CXA3590, 36v 5000K cri80 and 2- CXB3590, 36v, 3500K, cri80, at 200w max and 100w minimum. using a C1400B driver. I also have a C350A, C700B, and C1050B drivers to swap in or out I made lugs for all four drivers to interchange as needed. peace

Also i've been monitoring the temperatures to this day.
By Dutch standards we experienced quite a heat wave here last week.

The highest COB temp i measured was 54C (or 129F)
At this point the ambient temperature was about 30C (or 86F)

Since the COB's have a listed operating temp of -40C/+85C i think i'm in the clear with this passive setup.
Mayb it will cost a little bit of efficiency during these days, but no harm done.
Furthermore, days like this are few and far between in The Netherlands.

Still, ironical of course, that when the sun is at it's brightest, the plants get a little less light :D

That irony might work in your favor, because the plants don't want quite as much light when they're running hot.
