Here's a couple pics of my first real run under the lites 8 super skunk in fox farms ocean forest and just a bit of sensi-grow a&b and I'm stoked so far, my buddies laughed at me when I started building these lites now they are asking me to help them with their build,I don't think a lot of people know about this tech where I live,,even at the few hydro shops that I frequent when I start telling them about the cobs I might as well be speaking a foreign language. How do they look,I'm still a rookie?Oh yeah the lites are a mixture of cxa,cxb3070's 3000 and 5000 and cxb 3590 4000k

1 lite has meanwell 60/1400 another has 50 watt drivers from china both have cxa,cxb 3070's the 3rd lite has 50 watt chinese drivers and 3590's and you can see the difference in each of the lites

i like how you used a mix of color temps that looks like one fun setup! i also like the intel cpu coolers, you look like a good shopper and planner. awesome job! Nice to see you mounted the power supplies on the wall.

Is that dry wall you used to punch holes and place the coolers on? damn clever i have to say!

also what AWG wire did you run from the power supplies to the cobs, from the ones mounted on the wall??? 14 AWG 90C ? or less?

LED cob is niche ATM.

don't say LED have noticed, because they instantly think the fail lights horror stories of once mighty HPS guys buying some new system and falling on their clippers.

say COBB, and they will listen with an empty glass.

no drywall 2 lites are a heavy gauge sheet metal and the third is 3/8 plywood and everything is 18 gauge 600 volt wire except the incoming 110 to the terminal strips which is 14 gauge. My wife was having a coronary after the exspense of the cobs, coolers and drivers so I pretty much had to use what I could find around the house to put it all together

what difference?
one lite has chinese drivers and 3070's the other has meanwell drivers and 3070's the one with meanwell are noticably brighter the 3rd lite has chinese drivers and 3590's and it is way brighter than the other 2,maybe this is why supra tests all of his to see which is better

That's a great setup, thanks for the reply, looks like you are very handy with tools, and the install looks great. I'm sorry to hear about your wife, I'm sure she will get over it once she sees the savings in power. :weed:
