It is to maintain the terps, including THC. Check the boiling point of THC under vacuum.

Here we go again .......

Did another nug run was in vac 52 hours, raised the temp in hopes of the bubbles popping, no help; oil surface area was 118f. Flipped the slab 4 times(only 12g). Still bubbles everywhere, nearly no nucleation or swiss cheese. Pulled it out and gave up.

Why cant I fully purge in 24 hours or less like everyone else??? Never been this FRUSTRATED with something involving mmj EVER..... literally done. Dumbfounded, and past being "clueless"

damn, thats alot longer than its ever taken for me especially when heating up the BHO and doin a tlp. and using a vac..

My slabs of any size purge in under 20 hours...because no matter the weight, the thickness is the same

I'll admit I'm not a wax expert, though I do understand the theoretical processes perfectly...as he said^^ are you asking about purging or are you trying to nucleate it or otherwise alter consistency like comb

If your just going for shatter I could get that with no vac over a thin film double boil in under 20 hours..with vac its faster......
Man I do qwiso runs all the time no heat or vac...under 20 hrs (higher boiling point so takes longer)

You need a thin film, I mean thin..do not collect it and try to purge a huge chunk, fold it over before its completely finished if you just wanna show off a huge chunk

Its bho shatter not iso and im always aiming for shatter. How would I flatten out shatter .... stick a coffee can in my dessicator and push down...? No.
I doubt everyone else is doing that. Some people arent even flipping their slabs.

I see artists FULLY PURGING SWISS CHEESE SHATTER SLABS that weigh well over twice of mine in less than half the time......... the bubbles dont pop they just rise to the top

I said iso because it has a higher boiling point, therefore it takes longer to evap.... you don't flatten it out you put it in your vacuum and smooth it out before its a solid mass.. I like to purge in a thickness like vacs last 3 pics https://www.rollitup.org/concentrates-extracts/624465-bho-vacuum-oil-wax-tutorial-141.html ...if not you have to heat it up too much to purge and it darkens too much, its also much faster the thinner it is..no you don't have to fold it over but its a more effective method. I wouldn't do more than an inch chunk though, but seriously why waste your oil trying to have a huge chunk to show people.... ..it doesn't matter how many gs it is.


Also depending on how your extraction is it might not ever be shatter.. butaneboils at room temp, you gotta be trying pretty hard to keep it around after so much time passes, it doesn't want to be a liquid..so what do you consider a purged product..maybe its been

Its spread out as I can naturally get it. Its ALREADY SHATTER just NOT DONE. The bubbles wont pop, they just rise to the top after every flip

Done shatter has big craters/nucleate points from where the bubbles popped, mine just has big bubbles that wont pop .......

To let the gas escape you heat it and melt it, if its how you say and already shatter then the gas will be trapped inside..do a double boil if your having issues, its extremely basic

Done shatter looks like whatever you want, mine is completely fluid, in the sense their are no bubbles or craters etc, stained glass looking..and don't try and use big words you don't understand, those bubbles aren't it nucleating...you have a poor attitude, and to get responses you should talk with more respect

I said fold so that its mostly purged on the inside then you clump it to get the chunk you for some reason want keep working with it....if its that pic its done...if its as thin as that pic no matter what you do to it..it will be done in 20hrs
