ITS ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!
Looking really good. You should be seeing little tufts of white spikes, soon. Looks like little exploding stars on the tips. Once you see those, you are in business. Your plants are already flowering, I can see that without a close up. After you get those little white 'popcorn' tufts you will see such rapid bud formation it will make your head spin! Just keep pumping in a lot of N for the stretch. Add a little Cal-Mag and some flower booster and keep the PH between 6.5 - 6.8. Flush on that third day with straight 7.0 water. Doing this will allow them to eat as much as they possibly can. A PH too low or high could cause a nutrient lockout, and they will miss out on valuable nutrients. Keep up the good work, buddy, looking good. What day are they at?

Can't believe I missed this Frozen! Three pages in but I'm subscribed now. Can you give us a smoke report from previous grows of that TOM? Its gorgeous.

The best of the 3 phenos, the one I am currently growing, has very sweet earthy smells with slight "fuel" undertones after cure. The taste accompanying the earthy smell on the inhale reminds me of the smell in Talkeetna, like fresh rain in thick birch forrest, definitely a birch sweet "zing". Fuel teripenes can be tasted on the exhale similar to kerosene, a quite pungent cloud ensues leaving a still lip smacking sweet flavor on your palette. Its always a fight for the green toke when TOM is around.
The rich medicated body feeling shortly after is not a "couch-locker" but sturdy enough to put you there for at least a few hours! My wife put it best " it feels like you're wearing a giant road cone as a hat"! I enjoy the TOM because its a day time smoke, strong enough to smoke just 1 bowl but not quite enough to put you out of commission all day, I have degenerative arthritis in my knee and get pains that cripple me, TOM helps way better than advil or aleve or any of the pharmaceuticals I've been prescribed. A staple for my garden!

ON A SCALE OF 1-10 with reasoning

SMELL- 9/10
A pungent keeper! The earthy tones may be off-putting for some but that hint of fuel gives it a second and third whiff of the bag or jar EVERY time!
TASTE- 9/10
The sweet to fuel taste drives me nuts! I break a single bowl into 5 or 6 mini nugs so I can enjoy every single second!
YIELD- 7.5/10
A 400 watt hps got me nearly 3/4lb... I can't complain, though I do know there are better methods to increase my yields! (minus 2.5 for my own mistakes)
FLOWERING PERIOD 9.5/10
At 56 days I had a 75/25 amber trichome ratio. 8 week finish is pretty standard, I've heard of 50 day strains, hence the 9.5
GENETIC STRENGTH 9/10
I'm no scientist but I carefully selected the phenotype that I wanted because I have previously stress tested it and could not get it to intersex without Colloidal Silver. 9 because I have seen many other plants grow a bit faster
BAG APPEAL- 9.5/10
The nugs are the pefect density! Not too airy not too dense, an eighth easily looks like a skimp quarter. Also like I said before, you can't smell it just once. It cures to a lighter green with very dark red/auburn hairs. Even when its crispy dry, getting it off of your fingers before you roll it up is its own task(minus .5)!
HASH APPEAL- 8/10
Bho yields are fairly high IMHO roughly 7 grams (6.7g) off of an ounce and a half of FAN LEAVES. The taste was "farmy" like the scent of alfalfa or bales of hay. ( minus 1 for undesired flavors.)
Scissor hash was FUCKING great! HEAVY tone of kerosene in the smell and taste. I found myself re-trimming after I smoked the first ball I mustered up
There was a lack of finger hash,(Minus another 1) I was multi-tasking while trimming and ditched the gloves about an hour into it and came back later with out 'em. Plus, I tried my damnedest not to finger my ladies, granted it smells nice, but its just a tease!

Overall- 8.8
A wonderful, top shelf strain great for pain relief or relaxation. Sets in about 10 minutes after the first toke, or by the second bowl, which ever comes first. A backwoods strain that has more than 25 years in Alaska, reminding me of simple daily pleasures and of what hard work is worth. I will continue my cross breeding and back crossing with this Alaskan staple, maybe one day soon in recreational shop or a dispensary you'll look up high and see: T.O.M. ...

Hope this helps!

HELLUVA report Frozen! Thanks for the effort you put into that, the TOM sounds like a helluva strain.

Someday I'd love to sprout some beans that have 25 years of history in AK, my only strains of AK origin are all bastards, as in, I think I know who the father was but...???

DAY 22 OF FLOWER

View attachment 3202895

Lights off shows me that they're just a bit light... probably because they got changed to bud blood for flower, its 0-39-25.... I suppose a small shot of something with some heavy N should help things smooth out.
Very nice. My plants didn't show trichome development until week 3 1/2. I'm on day 28 now and out buds are about the same size. I think that's largely due to the fact that I'm using CFL bulbs. Looking real good, man. :)

And this is why HID lamps are best. My plants are in week 3 1/2 flowering, buds the same size as yours. I have maybe a third the trichomes. Boy, oh boy, that's a badass looking ScroG right there, dude. Very nice

I know, I know, I'm working on it, tiger. I have kept a perpetual SoG going for 18 months and I'm about to scrap it. Time to give everything a thorough scrub and start over from seed. I have been taking tons of pics and video and doing some serious editing and I have tons of reputable sources to back me. I'm going to make an all in one ultimate grow bible-ish journal. Hopefully, some people will get some use out of it without having to buy or pirate a copy of something from Jorge Cervantes (who really isn't all that great). Once I clean up and fire it back up, I can finish collecting the remainder of my data. It's coming soon. :)
