10,000 Kelvin 1KW HID. Questions/Thoughts.

Hello, all..

Anybody been experimenting with 10,000 Kelvin? in the 1KW range?

I was thinking of doing a mixed spectrum, HPS/MH but I pulled out the bulb and swaped for the high kelvin bulb. I got about 2 weeks to go to finish,.

Yield isn't a huge concern, just wanted to see if this will push potency up or tighten up things.

like car hids? I saw one guy who used 6 "70 watt" HID head lights run off a trickle charger, he had it set up in a box van as his veg room...

I'll just say 453 grams.. hahah.

I've been running MH's on my regular garden.. 6000K really works great on oil producing herbs.. Never messed with 10Kelvin

I figgure I'm close to the end of a flower cycle, I'll just work on potency. I got plenty of yield..

I've heard of potency increases with uv-a/uv-b supplemental lighting... But that has to be done from start to finish...

Yeah, I've heard that too.. I just dont buy into LED's or CFL's for this application, just not enough uv and penetration.. I figgure most of the glands are formed in the last few weeks, now would be the time to really push with uv and blue light.

I have a friend who runs bulbs with contacts on both ends... some special kind of "festoon" HID bulb, HE SAYS it increases thc quantity and quality...

they actually begin to form before the plant even starts to flower...
