yea, just get some more cfls. If you dont got cash, build up your setup slowly, your plant will notice the improvements. That is what i am doing. Trial and error makes it happen.

Start your seedling on one 42 until it gets up to about 3 nodes. then just gradually keep adding the lights on until it isn't a heat temp problem. A good mixture of 24 and 42 watts are working good for me. JUST LIGHTS! your plant will love any cfl put above it.. get some little fans too and blow them at the lights.

how many cfls would u guys suggest and what wattege?
I grow 2-3 at a time. The last couple of grows I have been using 8 bulbs. Four 23w 5000k bulbs and four 23w 2700k bulbs for veg. Then I would use two 23w 5000k and six 23w 2700k bulbs for flower. It worked fine but I noticed that it was taking for ever for the plants to mature, and the yield could be better. During veg all was fine. Now this grow I am doing the same as I have been for veg, but for flower I am going to continue to use the two 23w 5000k bulbs, but I am going to bump the reds up to six 40w 2700k. I had my last WW grow in flower for 12 weeks and the yield was decent but it could have been better. Luckily I am a fairly patient person.

I think your plant will tell you how many lights it needs as it grows. IF you are paying attention. As it gets bigger, you will need to get more lights to cover it. The bigger it gets the more light it will want. Start small and grow with the plant. Try to get the maximum LUMENS and keep them close to your plant. VERY CLOSE! Good luck!
I started with 10 plants and 80 watts, now I have 6 flowering females under (and next to) 850watts! Didn't plan it that way, but thats what happened. And I did NOT spend much money at all.
