I don't know what to tell you buddy other than it has to do with what strain your using and how your making your oil. My oil always comes out somewhat clear. It does come out in different colors whether it be golden, brownish, orange, red, or purple depending on what strain I use. I don't know how this specific company did this but if you have enough oil, put it in a jar and heat it slightly. It will losen up and become runny to where you can dip your bud in it. Because you change the viscosity you are able to get a thin coat of the oil on your buds and it makes it appear clear.
Ok, I could see that maybe happening with the lightest honey oil, appearing clear if it were thin enough but why do some of the trichomes look completely undisturbed and other areas coated with a thick clear substance? Not thick and honey colored.

It still just doesn't sound right if you really look close at that pic.

I've never seen what co2 extraction can do though either.

It also doesn't say you have to freeze the oily dripping messy gooey things or anything like that. My oil would never solidify enough to stay on a bud with the same consistency as trichomes themselves.
I said I freeze my oil to keep it. It's just easier for me to to open up the freezer and brake off a chunk and have a minute or so to work with it. As for some of the trichomes not being covered like the others maybe the oil saturated some parts more than others. Once your buds are dry the trichs are somewhat durable. And I don't think they ever said it wasn't sticky. I've dipped my buds in honey oil before I don't think this picture is fake.

i make A LOT of honey. i have never seen it clear or thin enough to dip a bud in. you can dip your bud in it but it's gonna come out coated in goo. this is why it's called HONEY. it's thick like honey.

Did you read? Put your Honey in a jar put it in a water bath and heat it slightly, kind of like melting wax. It will change viscocity and become a thinner consistancy. As far as it being clear maybe I should have said translucent just as the thin layer in your glass-ware is translucent.

I never meant for anyone to think I have completely clear honey. I mispoke and clarified by saying translucent but with color. And your wrong, if you heat it up it does not stay completely thick and gooey. Take a chunk of honey out of the freezer and put it on top of a nugget in a bowl, when you put fire to it, it melts all over the bud and gives it a glass effect. The same principle applies when you heat it up in a water bath. Also, look at the bud in the picture it has a golden tent to it and honey is not always gold it can be gold, amber, red, or purple it just depends on the color of your tric's. I'm in no way saying it is worth what they're charging for it I'm just saying you can do this.

i'm sorry you feel the need to prove something.

i did not say it stays "completely" gooey. i said it stays gooey. big difference.

No need to prove anything I'm just saying it's do-able and simple.

i did not say it stays "completely" gooey. i said it stays gooey. big difference.
My bad, I guess I misunderstood what you were saying. Also I don't think anyone ever said the bud in the picture wasn't gooey.

can i see pics of yours?
Sorry bro, most of my pics from the past are on my computer back east.
The next time I make some or go back east I'll get some picks.

Bump for an answer, an answer from anyone on how to make clear oil or whatever to coat buds like what is pictured covering those buds in this article. Any oil I made was also always just a goopy mess that would never dry out completely. Is that stuff solid like a tasty hard bud candy? The trichomes aren't even disturbed, is this an accurate picture because I sense a chemical or otherwise hoax.

I took that picture, it's not a hoax. I can take more if you'd like.

And stop with the $1400 is so much stuff, guys. No one buys an ounce, and if for some reason they wanted to, they'd get a price break on it. It's the same as saying top shelf buds are $8960 a pound because dispensaries charge $20 a gram.

tasty but rather expensive, as sid, i'd rather do something myself.

with regard to oil pipes, couldn't you just take a normal spoon, rotate it by 45 degrees and get the exact same effect if you have yourself aglass pipe? or do you make runny oils (ive been watching video's where the oil is just a blob, touchable, very stable.

When honey is soaked up in nugs it appears clearer than when its in a big pyrex bowl all together and colored. Kinda like darker glass turning ligher glass as you pull it.

Ignore the complainers, that makes it clear and if they still complain it's because they didn't even read the thread.

Please I'd love to see some more shots of this, and did you ever explain what method is used to extract the oils?
Or if the thing is gooey or more solid when it's dried?
Or if you need to keep it refrigerated after making it?

That's is some really nice looking stuff, it just looked a bit too nice.
