| | plagron bat mix soil | | hi, i was thinking about using the plagron bat mix soil, to pot into last. for flowering. it says dont feed for 6 weeks. isit ok to still give bloom additives?? in those 6 weeks? like once or twice a week or somthing? no base feed, just bloom additive and water??
ive allways just used biobizz all mix, and fed with liquid feeds and additives.
what ya reckon?? i was going to ask advanced nutrients tech, but i want an answer lol |

| | My rule of thumb is to avoid time-release fertilizer if you plan to do any feeding beyond that. (I don't mix time-release with regular fertilizer.)
That kind of soil is good for ferns and other houseplants, maybe the flower garden, but not for anything where top quality is really important. They're just too unpredictable - one week they could not release much, the next it could fertilize a lot. And there's no way to really tell for sure what's going on in a soil environment (hard to get a good ppm reading).
You can definitely get good results, so I'm not saying to ditch what you've got going now. Just be super careful. And if you want to avoid burning them you have to always be extra paranoid about your nute levels. That's why I don't like the time-release: you have to always underfeed just to be safe. |

thanks man, that was a good read. i just use bio bizz at the moment with some AN additives. just been useing that in small dosses latly, once or twice a week and ph adjusted water the rest of the time.
ive already ordered some shit now lol, i thout id tri that supernatural terrapot. it does sound good with the humic & volic and stuff init. but it has got slow release, in layers tho. they layer soil & a soil substrate to minic how a plant whould grow in nature.
ive kept mother plants for a while, which i only feed when i think they look like they need it. get abit neglected. so hopfully i'll be ok with the supernatural. ive been in two minds about it. i seen a good grow with the supernatural 8 oz of 1 plant (tree of life) under a 600 watt mh, spose 8 oz is pretty normal yeild under a 600watt. but 1 plant, sounds good. have a few to plant, giving water most of the time is easyer long as it gives good results
cheers for your help man, appriciated |

| | Since, root growth is slowing as you enter flowering to near zero. I'd stay with the allmix & just use a flowering nutrient to finish with. Change is not always good. Time released stuff is OK for dear of Mom's Roses; but she isn't going to light them up.
It's a weed, best not to get too technical.... Feed weakly / weekly - cause more weed is killed with kindness & over-thinking than not !

| | TGA Querkle Vortex Flav Jack the Ripper | | hey there, to be repotted when ready into batmix
wanted to get a few pics up, got a new 12 mega pixel cam. makes a change from fuzzy mobile pics lol. just aswell get some use out of it. had to make the file sizes smaller to be able to upload the pics not sure if that effects picture qauilty
the middle row are vortex clones, which im holding back for selection, i have the first generation sexing now. they all 4 look nice plants, 1 looks an amazing pheno, realy low wide spread branchs, almost like its been lst'd tied, but is not the smallest pheno. hope its a female, even if its male i gotta keep it. was the slowest to root tho out of the clones and also the 4th to pop from seed, looks most like apollo's ive seen. nice looking plants, short sativas kind of thing. will get some pics up of them somtime edit, yeah it has made the picture quality crap, i'll have to find away round that
