    Default Humic/Fulvic question.

    Hello to you all.

I am currently in the process of switching from hydro f&d to super soil and have a quick question.

I have located and purchased all I need, but one thing I am having trouble getting here in the UK is humic/fulvic acid powder.

I have GH Diamond Nectar and that is labelled up as "organically sourced" humic and fulvic acids.

Can I use this in the water I add to the super soil when cooking as the source?

    Many thanks for your time.

    Batfink.

It would only be a temporary source of humic/ fulvic, but would definitely be beneficial to your soil while cooking. You would probably want to water with that product throughout the bulk of your grow if your not going to add a powdered humic product!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Exactly what I though so thank you for clarifying.

I'm not sure I want to go down that route just yet, though I am nearly exhausting my google skills. I will give it a few more hours before I fold and import some, just trying to avoid postage if I can source here in the UK.

Again, thanks for the quick reply.

    Finally!!!
    Humate As (Soluble Powder)

Just as I was about to give up. .

    *edit*

Even that states it needs to be dissolved into a solution before use! I take it I ignore that and just add the powder?

you can make your own if you have peat moss and some microbes. make a AACT with only microbes and peat moss and in about a week you should have plenty of fulvic/humic acid. just strain out and microwave for a few minutes and seal it up.

Cheers mate, plenty to think of there.... bought the powder above. Will look into making it thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

As for evaporating, I'm in England so there is no chance of that with this years weather lol!

Thanks all. I'm sure I will be back at some point with more questions.

how much dry humic/fulvic acid do you think there is in a gallon of liquid!? what a waste! liquid products are chelated, refined products designed to have tiny micron size for easy foliar application and penetrating the soil. not to mention it becomes homogeneous with fertilizers. i bought 2 50# bags of humic acid for $32 from down to earth

100# of powdered humic should last a lifetime!.......if you are mixing up a standard batch of super soil....mix the humic (i think it is 2 Tbs.) in a couple gallons of water, then sprinkle over your pile spread out on a tarp....it is difficult to get such a small amount of powder to mix proper throughout....good luck!
