    Default Increasing chances of females

    Okay I hope I'm putting this in the correct forum. If not please feel free to move it to its appropriate location. I have purchased and received Dairy Queen, querkle, cheesequake, deep blue and ripped bubba and JTR. I'm having a problem with trying to grow these out because I really only have space for 4 plants. What method can I use to increase my chance to get females if I only pop one bean per strain? I have grown Jillybean and she was/is a star. I frankly think I just got lucky with her turning out to be female. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. By the way I grow in a closet.

    i've always dissolved a bc pill in the cup i crack and soak the paper towel with. Could be an old wives tale, and I have no personal evidence of it increasing the amount of females, as i run fems sometimes along side their regular counter part. I will continue to do it as long as I can find them.

    All a seed needs to germinate is moisture and a temperature range between 50-90 and your good to go. There are other factors involved though and if you will germinate your seeds between 70-80 degrees you will have a better ratio of females. Warmer temperatures tend to produce more male plants.
    TGA Genetics are unable to produce Femenized seeds at this time, please check back when Sub sells out.

    imho, i agree with sub, high temps will produce more males.......don't use a heat mat, if you are looking for ladies....

    yep, experience cracking beans with and without a heat mat.........all seriousness, i know quite a few growers who believe the same.
