you do need good eyesight!....those preflowers are tiny......most often i make the determination without seeing pistils....just by the shape of the pre-calyx......the female pre-calyx is blade like, similar to the tip of a blade of grass(top view)...whereas the male is usually blunt, with a tiny hook on it......

just wanted to say nugs, your a genius. i will give this a run on one of my next females. does this just increase yield , or is the main purpose just to increase the quality of the total yield with more top buds and less smaller buds? or both? i and do you remove any more fan leaves after you have the amount of heads you want?

Nooo! I wish i was for the ride months ago i would of had 6*** heads from the main hub after toppeing each node because i have this crazy pheno from my hashberry that is growing three internodes on the main stock rather than the typical two and remember this is a seed but unfortunately its already into flower other wise this would have been a great idea to do on a naturally three internode plant!?!? :,/
