Maybe I'm crazy, but I dont even humidity dome my clones. That could be why they take a bit long to root out, but I've only had 1 cutting fail to root in over a year. I just cut em, place em in Hydroton and place them in the bubbler.

You don't need a humidity dome.
When I don't use a humidity dome I mist a lot more tho. And really, when/if the clones start to wilt , the dome works well at getting them back rigid.

I am hoping to become a fellow botanist. I have a question. I have read that you should not clone a clone and clone a clone too many times because of degrading genetics. Is this true? And what is your take on this, your opinion will be highly regarded.

Beansly is right,never mist,if your feeding the plant through the leaves then she has no reason to root.

Subcool,

Do you sex your plants and put them back into veg? I thought I saw a label that said male. Or do you take clones and then keep the females clones only after the mother plant showed its sex?

How often do the rapid rooters have to be watered in the week following taking the clones if using a humidity dome like your using?

With no dome I mist every other day with clonex and have a high 90 percentile root rate. I water with roots accelerator fwiw

i have had 100% success by switching to the shoe box method.
its pretty easy guys.. i would just follow along with what subcool does here because it works everytime
and i have personal experience of that

takes 5-7 days to root for me, clones never wilt. 100% germination of seeds as well.
shoe boxes, clonex, rapid rooters, water, floros, success!
