i personally like to trim all the sugar leafs to make me some bubble
all preference of the farmer. A good long cure will bring out the better smells and taste as the chlorophyll turns to sugars.

Yep agreed trim right after chop pack the trim leaves in zip lock and into the freezer they go.as mentioned trimming is so much easier with a firm leaf rather than some limp thing you got to dig out of the bud. Then we have the discussion of how much sugar to actually trim off sub mentioned this few weeks back. And to this i answer depends on the strain! some pot i think actually improves with a little sugar left on them.

i agree....for me, the strain determines how i trim it.......some make a lot of dry sift, some don't.....some look great using a drying screen, some don't......that being said, i think the way sub does it is the most delicate, and respectful to the flowers, esp. the resin.........imho, i would never leave fans on when drying, i think its lazy, and creates at least twice as much work in the end, and creates an inferior finished product.....i have been finding myself doing the two-stage wet trim like sub, taking off anything without resin first, then catching the sugar leaf......but i do like my screens for dense rock bud.

    Notes
Leaving Non sugar Green leaf on a bud after cutting draws that green taste into the buds

When using Sugar Trim to make bubble let it reduce in size about 24 hours before freezing. This allows the resin heads to form and cure slightly while reducing the volume of leaf matter allowing more material to be worked producing more Hash sand.

    Great tip Sub, thanks.

Also, to any of the Nerds with neem oil knowledge. Is there a differance between azomax and concentrated neem oil, besides the 60% price increase for the azomax for the same sized bottle?

Azomax is a 1.2% solution of azadirachtin, an extract from neem oil (extracted with alcohol, I believe). So with it you are getting just the effects of that compound, in a more concentrated form than with the whole oil. There is also a concentrated form of neem oil, clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil, that is everything except the azadirachtin.

The EPA registration for both azadirachtin and clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil is here .

The registration says that the clarified extract is also anti-fungal. So I guess using the straight azomax would not have an effect on fungi, something you may or may not want to avoid....

thats curious murp, i just had this same convo with my shop guy......he wanted me to try azo instead of neem, but i was saying how i like the polish part of pure neem, and he was saying how azo was a polish too....i didn't buy it, stuck to my gut, and got me a fresh bottle of oil....i love the real stuff.
