Black Cherry Soda~ The quest for a new Mom

If you have followed me at all either on the internet or have read my Book Dank you will know that I don't consider myself a educated breeder as much as I do a collector of Elite genetics. I have spent 2 decades growing out thousands of seeds or growing out clones and cutting collected from friends and foes alike. Some times they herm out and seed your entire crop and other times you find that special plant that makes it all worth while. Now that I run TGA I have other talented growers on the look out for those special strains and that is how we found the Black Train Wreck used to create Chernobyl. The problem is I am an extreme Pot Snob and very few strains actually impress me these days so when when does I get really excited. This is the case with this new bud/clone/cutting that came to us as Black Cherry Soda.
The bud first came to me through Dioxide my best friend and the creator of Chernobyl, Deep Purple, and Qrazy Train and as always we washed the bong and MzJill, Dioxide and myself sampled the bud and gave our opinions and all three of us loved this stuff.
It has a nice grapey fruit cherry flavor but the really unique part is the exhale when you actually pick up traces of Cream Soda which we assume helped coin its name.

Many purple buds don't taste as good as they look but this wasn't the case here this stuff was

So the clone came to us in poor shape but some TLC by Dioxide and he got some nice healthy growth and was able to take a few cuttings which he rooted and brought one to me.
Everyone in this story is a card holder and this is all legal under or state laws which makes what I do easier than when I did it all underground.

So she is now trained and ready for budding I am just letting her grow up just a bit more. Clones were taken last night so stay tuned to see if she as good as we hope.

Man sub as a pot snob myself I feel ya. That BCS looks amazing. I bet it was taste was killer. Are u gonna be sellin this in seed form as is or are u gonna cross it with sumthin first. Damn my bad for jumpin the gun will u be sharin this strain or no?

It is being considered for a hybrid but the road to that is very very long. It would also require a new male search as well which is also going on as we speak.

I feel u. I know it takes a couple years at least to get a decently stabilized hybrid. Sumthin to look forward to at least. I just got sum og kush gentics myself. I plan on crossin with sumthin u got maybe the querkle or void. Undecided as of yet. Just put the og beans in the dirt anyways so it will be awhile before any reproduction occurs. Which strain of urs do u think wood match up with og if any? I also plan on mixin with sum blue satellite? wats ur thoughts on spice of life seeds. My bad for all the questions its just very rare to find sumone worth conversing with around here.

Man I hate Kushes and especially OG Kush and I mean the clone. It has permeated the cali scene and I just hate the flavor.
It is very potent Indica and yes the one strain I would use to try and improve that is Querkle which has amazing flavor and color but not the potency of OG Kush

My crew just located a Pink OG Kush Cutting but its hella sick and infested with bugs so it will take a while to secure a decent cutting.

Yeah I've never held kush as one of my favs myself either although the masses love them including my closest friends. Its sad they have no idea how killer a sativa high can get cuz u just get higher and higher as u smoke. That was my goal by crossin it with the querk was to get a sick flavor/ smell. I was also thinkin also apollo maybe to improve potency. And although me or u don't favor the kushes my closest pals love it. And they are wat makes the system pay for itself so I gotta give wat they love they are clueless. Not evryone is as enlightened as u or I.

Man I almost forgot wat is this pink og u speak of? Can u explain further? I mean is the bud pink or pistils or wat? I'm highly interested in this as there is nuthin better than exotic colored pot. Especially if it smokes good too.

I was invited over yesterday to the medical garden where we have Black Cherry Soda finishing up and I knew you guys would want to see this amazing plant.

As you can see this is not a color fade as this plant was never cooler than 70 degrees F but the buds are completly Purple, Pink and Magenta.

The plant is also producing major nuggage as you can see and this girl looks to be one of the better yielding strains in this garden.

Smell is heavy musty and kushy with a berry undertone.

im growing a astro queen and agent orange at the moment along with some feminised strains, youve really converted me to non-fem seeds as your seeds are so much more vigorous and fast growing than any of the other strains in the garden.

with any luck one will be a male and the other female so i can cross them!

OMG this plant is gorgeous for sure! As a Cannabis Photographer this is absolute pay day and with Pink and magenta at the first week of budding I can't wait to see what she shows us.

I like o.g.'s when my back is killin' me, or bedtime...upholstry glue indicas just make me tired and hungry. having said that- I'm gettin' ready to pull some chem valley vortex that looks insanely frosty. there are a couple phenos that are more fruity chocolate smelling; and one pheno that looks like cynthia vortex, but reeks of pinesol. that's a definite keeper. chemdawg/o.g. is a big part of the future of breeding. it's like the opposite end of the spectrum from vortex and jack's cleaner... a good ingredient in balancing out landrace and super sativas. I'm gonna' get some jack's cleaner 2 to hit my lemon larry for some lemon zapper.
