Apparently heat ruined all my germing TGA seeds

except for one Jillybean. Had 30 seeds total...Quirkle, Agent Orange and Jillybean. Paper towel method on a plate on top of an old style radiator. After 48 hrs, all but one taproot were still under an 1/8 of an inch in length. Planted them anyways. After 5 days I have one seedling. Checked the rest of the seeds, and they haven't changed a bit. After so muuch research and then the anticipation while waiting for the beans, I think I want to just go cry right now.
And to top it off Subcool is just out of Quirkle for 4 months. I supose I could reorder from one of a couple of seed banks, but it's not that their more expensive, I'd just prefer to deal Bidzbay and the breeder him and herself. Also I am not a noob, I planted my first weed seed in 1976 and I have multiple flower rooms in my home. Just been dealing with my own clones for a long time.
PS Important item to note is that on the forum Breedbay, Subcool has a sticky on his germination process and he strongly advises against using a heating mat when germing. Wish I had read that first.
The reason for this thread is to try and prevent anyone else from making the same mistake I did. Hope this helps.

Sub - you're the man.

I've recently learned a little more about what you do Sub and I've got a TGA grow I'm pretty excited to start. Deep Purple, Querkle, Qleaner, and Space Bomb.

I've got some Space Queen going now and I'm just hoping a get a couple females.

Just wanted to say thanks on behalf of myself and other growers in the RIU community for sharing what you know Sub and doing what you do.

If you want a quaranteed germ method, throw your seeds in a cup of water with an airstone in it bubbling away in a dark place. Did this with my Jilly seeds and they popped in 1 day, planted that night, they are now happy little sprouts 3 days after I first put them in the water to germ . Fastest method I have ever used, before I would use the paper towel method and/or a covered cup of water in the dark. I love bubbles.....

That was up standing..... I lost several seeds due to crushing during shipping and your friend at Hempdepot replaced all the seeds he could but he was out of the space dawg so I only have what I have of those. It's nice when a breeder stands behind his work and goes out of his way to make somebodys day like that. Tell Brad next time you see him people are saying good things about the way he does business.

Hey Highlanders Cave i feel your pain. the SAME exact situation happened to me and i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO goddamn pissed. i also just read the sticky a while ago, but not after that happened of course! then i read this. i wish i would have went through bidzbay instead of the lattitude then i would have some more seeds to replace them if sub was cool to his word. but who knows, maybe someday i'll actually be able to try some more of there genetics but for now, all my beans are dead.

Hey there sub, just wanted to let you know that my new beans arrived today, and to thank you and Jill again. I'll have to research some smoke and grow reports for these strains.....I've started researching the vortex and I'm excited with what I've read so far, sounds like I'm in for a treat. Also remember reading it was one of your favorite head stashes. Cleaner and Void were the other two strains that came too. They will have some stiff competition with whats going on in the rooms right now...I can see some decisions coming up in the future . Looking forward to ordering a couple more of TGA's strains! Are you thinking your Querkle seeds will be ready by the holidays?

Gotta get on those pic's..... I have 2 confirmed female Vortex going now and am in the process of waiting for roots on their clones. I have gotten nothing but good reviews about my smoke so far. I had one friend come over with his wife and I got them both high. They couldn't even finish a bong loaded with my JCII between the both of them. By the time his wife gave him the bong back for his second hit he was already smiling and saying he shouldn't do this and by the time it was her turn again she was already so baked she wouldn't even take another drag.....
