Hey ya'll thought I'd share a few pics of my favorite plant. This vortex was the only one I planted and has been an absolute pleasure to grow. It grows fast and responds well to topping and training. It got tall but filled out very well. I love the structure, the branches are just full of buds.

It's a very low-maintenence plant. It's in a 3x2x2 hole in rocky clay soil...basically a clay pot. Sub's super soil and I used BMO nutes once in veg and twice in flower. I think its getting close to 7 weeks...I'm going to let it go until it gets cold.

This is the widest shot I could get. It's got four main branches...one of the top colas snapped in the rain but it's just hanging sideways now and will mature fine.

I snagged a real small tester branch and quick trimmed it...





I did the same thing a week ago and those nuglets are just dry...taste like rotten fruit and skunk with some some undertones I can't quite put my finger on that will come out with a cure.

Yeah thanks alot for that thread hillbilly...something about 'just smoked some still wet vortex and i couldn't stop laughing at everything in the garden' or something....when I was at like 3 wks flower been anxious ever since

Damn sick plant angus. Definitely some of the dankest looking outdoor i've seen. And some dense early nugs. Can't weight to see the final harvest and yield. How's the smoke? Props on the plant.

the vortex is the absolute killer shit...PERIOD! I've been blasting people out of their frickin' minds...the 'spacequeen/vortex pheno has some meat, but I'm keeping the wierd fruit one, and the super hashy(A13?) one. it's the best thing I've ever smoked hands down...that's a definite "over my dead body" plant. the widow is still #1 for flavor; but vortex is probably the best -from seed- plant available. I'm working with it heavily; but I seriously doubt I could improve on it...I've got some malawi double crossed with it, and I'll do the same with the nha trang/hmong(macVsog); but I'm sure there'll be a trade off of flowering time and weight. the other crosses are just amping up other strains, like the shark attack from s.c.shark. it's NOT sleepweed, that's for sure...and it still makes me giddy. the vortex has earned the title "shiznaticus rex". .the only other one even in that ballpark is jack's cleaner 2; which runs 'cleaner' than the V, but just a little less (o.k. a lot less) outta' control crazy.

I smoked some scissor/finger hash from the vortex last night...you were right Sub'...that's some bionic brainblaster if there ever was! I really recommend that folks out there get ahold of people's car keys if they aren't absolute hardcore heavyweights...this time I'm not joking around! it will make drunk drivers out of lightweights...I'm seriously considering entering some of the killer hashy pheno at the santa cruz cup...or give 'em samples labeled "wake and bake" so they can get an undiluted feel for the power of the almighty vortex! if someone has better weed, let's see it! I got mine, and I'll put it up against anything.

Yup. The vortex is definitely mine and my family's favorite jar (jars ). It's good all day pot. I harvested a couple ounces off this plant at 7 weeks and then a couple more at 9 and another ounce or so the other day at around ten.

With a two-three week cure the first is absolutely killer and a a much better mix of body and head high than I expected. Haven't smoked any of the other but I'm sure it'll only get better. The smell seemed to change every day and I still can't describe it in words. Definitely super dank though.
