ive been reading subcools threads for a while and im very interested in making my own mix. kinda like super soil,
im thinking about mixing :

light worrier
happy frog potting mix
perlite
greensand
kelp meal
plant success
and worm castings

that would be for veg.

i would transplant for flower and add bone meal to the mix in the bottom of the new pot.
also how do you flush at the end with all this stuff in the soil? tons of water?

I'd replace the happy frog with ocean forest. It's a better quality mix. You seem to be on the right track. There's no single correct way but it's best to keep it as simple as possible your first time thru. You're mix seems to have all you should need. You can also add that bone meal now if you want to. It's slow release and any extra phosphorus during veg will help your roots.

You shouldn't really have to flush if you keep it organic. You'll be watering with straight water anyway. Give em a good guano/worm cast tea halfway thru flowering and just let em coast to the finish. That brings out all the good flavor!

i kind figured about the no flush thing. thats why i dont want to use blood meal im worried about that grassy homegrown taste from all the N. and im only going to veg for a month or so and its supposed to be slow realize. the high dollar mix should carry me threw
also do you know any thing about letting your mix cook other than its best to cuz i cant set it out side would cfls work?
and im thinking about starting the cook with BMO super plant tonic does this sound right?
you know any thing about Bokashi or em-1 could i add that?

hay i just made a top dress for my current grow does this sound ok?
to top dress apx ten gal of medium

9 tsp primal harvest bloom 0-12-1 derived from marinebird fossilized guano
11 tsp of worm castings
a 16 ounce cup of happy frog from last year
and a 16 ounce cup of organic seed starter mix by ferry morse

moisend it with a 16.9 oz bottel of spring water with
.1 mil karma
.1mil of thrive alive b1 green organic
0.2mil of maxicrop liquid sea weed
going to let it set for a couple of days and then top dress
im apx 16 days into flower
sound good?
