As I sit here my bud butter is cooking away in the kitchen. This is what I have done and will post results when the cookies are done.

I took 1/2 oz of top grade medical medicine. Put in two cups of water with 1 pound (4 sticks) of sweet cream butter. Bring to boil and then add the bud (ground up in a small chopper) to the mixure. Still rapidly but don't burn your finger like I did. LOL

Gradually reduce to the soft boil stage to exactly 190 degrees. Hold temp and simmer for 6 hours minimum.

Pour through a cheese cloth. Gently squeeze the rest of the liquid out and toss the messy cloth. (I am pretty sure it is completely used up, but if your little heart desires, you could dry it out and do something with it, good luck with that).

Then re-pour through one of those brass coffee filters for a final stain. Takes out the fine clippings so your cookies are even better!!

Store in the food locker overnight.

Once it is seperated into two layers, stand over the sink. This is a very important step.....DO NOT FORGET TO STAND OVER THE SINK....I hardly think my hardwood floors are very happy with me right now....or maybe they are. LOL

Stand over the sink and flip it upside down. Get rid of the water but take the butter and store it in the fridge or seal it and put it in the freezer. It keeps. Best way, make 5 dozen wonderful cookies out of it using the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Coconut is wonderful and so is my extra special rice krispie treats.

I'll post tomorrow about how effective this batch is.

Butter done, on to cookie making. I did a couple of things different with this batch, lets see what happens.

Out of the batch from above, I made 32 ~ 4 inch cookies. I use a flip spoon for consistancy in size.

Oh and don't lick the batter and eat a cookie.....that is a couch lock waiting to happen.

Fuck I always get couch locked.

I can't do that often, kill the pain and get movin for me......would be nice though.
