While fundamentally, much won't change, we have to start somewhere. One need only look at energy and foreign policy to see that there are vast differences between the two candidates. Or would you argue that we would be in the same position if we'd had Gore in office instead? That is a foolish argument to make.

In order to get the ship moving, it must first be righted. Voting for a candidate you don't believe in may be undemocratic, but the alternative is far worse.

The President has over 500 advisors working night and day all around whom ever the President might be... he/she does not write their own speaches except to put in a joke or two, maybe 15 if your talking Bush, what you say and what you do as President of the United States is a direct result of what the people who have the MONEY to have your ear want.
