Default Rubbermaid grow box with height adjustable PVC CFL light fixture

I'm in the process of moving from a PC grow to a dual rubbermaid grow box. Does anyone have a picture\video of a height adjustable PVC light fixture inside a dual rubbermaid grow box? My thought is to use something similar below and attach it to the lid of the top box with an adjustable mechanism.

it is much easier to lift plants with books or bricks that to have adjustable lights. put the lights at the very top imo.

Just to clarify, I didn't build that light fixture. It is just an example of what I'm thinking of building inside a rubbermaid box.

Im building something similar for seedlings/early veg, I'm still playing around with the actual "bulb layout" you can play around quite a bit with the Y socket connectors. I would love to see how you are going to make it work inside a Rubbermaid bin but it sure is better than lifting pots with household items, hehe.

looks like you have to cut all the plugs off and then re attach them. Seems like a hassel.

its a good idea but the reflector would not be all that great its to far away from the cfls, if you made somthing thats about a 1/2 inch from the cfl it would be ideal, but 6 inches to reflector and 6 inches back to the light then 2 inches to the plant thats a total of 6+6+2=14 inches the reflected light has to travel before it is used by the plant soo really the reflector is only helping a little. i really do like the idea tho! good luck man

I built one of those pvc light fixtures, was pretty cheap. Though it would be a pain to have it in a rubbermaid and still havethe ability to adjust it. Though you could always string and run it through the 4 corners of the lid to the light. And just tie knots on the out side of the lid to hold it where you want. No light would get through cause the knots would be blocking what little bit of the holes would leak light.
