Default Stealth PC Grow heat issues...

    Hello all,

I've been trying to regulate the heat in this home made stealth pc grow. All the fans are set as outtakes now, I tried multiple methods (front ones intake, back ones outtake. And nothing seems to work, I keep staying around 85F to 88F. In the picture the two fans on the back by the power strip are blowing air at the top of the case (the lights made the metal very very hot.) And I have books and such on the top of the case to add to the stealth. I have four 26w 1600lumen CFL's at the top there. With the side pannel off, I'm able to get humidity to 45% and the temp to 79F, which would be where I want it to be with the side pannel on obviously. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello,
You can try to put a piece of glass between your cfl's and the grow room.

Where can I find a piece of glass like that? lol and if I can't find glass, would a thick clear plastic...or plexi-glass do just as well?

Yes, they are just computer fan filters...they have been removed because they were restricting my air so much. I can't seem to keep the light from coming out of the fans in the back, quite annoying. Any ideas? I got some plexi-glass and cut that (pain in the ass by hand) and have now attached a shelf under the CFL's with an out take fan in the back...this has drastically dropped temp, sitting at around 82F on hottest part of day, and at around 70-72F at night.

More powerfull 130mm fans lookup bgears b blaster fans rates at 103cfm, they are the best for cfm to noise ratio I have found at a damn good price too
