Has anyone tried these?

I know most people use carbon filters and that is essentially what this product seems to be. I don't think you can ever be to certain that your covering up odors completely when flowering. Wouldn't hurt to use as an extra precaution or for a real small area. Just wanted to see if anyone has used this product before.
Thanks for looking.

Reviews on amazon/drugstore.com look pretty good. Not a whole lot of em, but the majority are 4-5 stars. I wouldn't use anything less than 2 of these on high and depending on your room size you might want to run more. I may look into this as well, thanksONA gel and a proper carbon filter will work better simply because any air that is being vented out is going through the filter. Unless you somehow have an outlet right next to your exhaust this won't work as well.

The nature of ona gel though should absorb the odor. How are you using it? Also keep in mind this thing uses 3 filters at a time and replacement filters are $10-$15, with the tobacco one(extra strength) being $15. Replacement packs come with 4 filters >.< I doubt it will last for the 90 days as advertised. Like I said it will probably work, but you're having to "scrub" the entire room instead of just the air from the grow space. If the entire room is dedicated to growing...maybe, but it would depend on the size.

I've looked into those when I grew in my PC case, i stole an idea off some website fuck if i remember but i built my own custom "carbon filter" using a 2" net pot, 3" net pot, aquarium carbon and pantyhose... first rinse and dry the carbon to activate it then take the 3" net pot and fill a little bit at the bottom, then take the pantyhose and put the 2" net pot down in the "sock." then pinch the pantyhose so it basically clumps in the center of the 2" net pot, then fill inside the pantyhose 2" net pot with carbon. Place the stocking with the 2" net pot inside the 3" net pot and start to slowly pull the pinched pantyhose upwards, it will then fill the sides between the 2" and the 3" pot. Then you complete the wrap by pulling it over the 3" net pot and tying it off. cut off excess pantyhose.
From here you have the carbon filter, I took some basic cardboard and reinforced it with aluminum foil tape and cut a square out the size of a 120mm fan, then i cut a hole in the center of that square. Then you mount the "carbon filter" to that hole with more foil tape. Then take more cardboard and create smaller rectangle "slits" to create a box that will fit over a 120mm fan. Here is some pics from my grow box Jack Herer DWC 70w hps with the finished "carbon filter."

Yea I've seen DIY guides to what you just explained, looks pretty legit when done properly. How many CFM is the 120mm fan? The one thing I noticed was that using a carbon filter seriously cuts down on the CFM of the fan. With this at least(again depending on room size) you can just plug into a wall outlet next to your exhaust. Can't remember if it was on the manufacture's website or amazon's, but the filters do use carbon scrubbing. They sell these at wal-mart so I may pick em up for my next grow and have my exhaust literally right next to these things. Might be possible to stick a surge protector on the wall and run of em. Definitely not cost efficient though.

i was using just an antec 3 speed fan but have since upgraded to a "120mm delta fan" with a fan controller http://www.frozencpu.com/products/81...12UHE-F00.html
