CFL Micro DWC PC Grow

Everything I have read says using a vaporizer to smoke raw buds is best. Those little electronic cigarettes work on a vaporizing principle. Other than leaving it in a dry paper bag a few days is another way if you can't get a hold of a vaporizer. Post a review as soon as you do I'm interested in how it turned out. I would check around as to whether leaving it in direct sunlight even in a paper bag is a good idea. Indoors in a dry closet would work if ventilation is decent.

alrighty after 3 days drying the outside of the buds are just crispy to the touch, stems bend but dont quite snap yet so i figure its a good time to jar them up.
Dry weight is 18grams, spot on for my estimate!
still smelling rather nice so hopefully i can keep that nice aroma thruout the curing.

unfortunately i dont have access to a vaporizer but i might chuck one of the smaller popcorn nugs in a paper bag somewhere warm just so i can sample it.

You might research nuking it as I seem to recall some quick and dirty methods with using microwaves. I guess being patient is the best method but its soooooo hard.

Haha yeah patience is the key! I still have some from my last harvest, doesn't taste the greatest cos it dried way too quick but it still does the job!
I've heard about the microwave method but don't wanna stink out the house and microwave ... the missus would not be impressed lol

dude do not stick your bud in the microwave. it tastes horrible and smells like wet hay. ive just read this entire thread as ive just finished building a stealth pc for micro dwc. nice grow man. one suggestion for next time. better nutrients and a larger res. and maybe some slightly larger cfls. 23w are good but 30w are slightly more lumens per wats so essentially more bud. also most people will say the plants prefer a slightly mixed spectrum. maybe 1 6400k in there to even it out a bit. other than that. awesome grow. hope your smoke was good

Hey cheers brettsog, nah I just dried naturally and curing now.
What I've smoked so far is nice, good taste sort of a spicy aroma /flavor and a real creeper of a stone. Only had one cone and that was enough, long lasting too.
Once I get some more cash I want to invest in some better nutes, using the ag grow for now til I run out. This stuff just isn't as concentrated as more expensive nutes, just means I have to use more to get desired ppm.
with the cfls the next wattage up I can get are 48 w 3000k and 6000k.
And yeah next dwc in this case will be a bigger Res, already got it ready.
Got a clone in there veggin at the moment, its gunna be my new mother plant.
Its a bubblegum strain and I've seen the mother it came from, all I can say is it was a bush 3 ft tall and 3 ft diameter! This thing looked awesome

Hey baskarz, I've been checking out your grow, and that is really sweet!
I'm putting together my first cab as we speak, and I'm very interested in that light bar you have set up, to raise and lower.
My question to you and the vets that are following is about the horizontal orientation of your lamps. I'm under the impression that the light waves are conducted more effectively to the target (plant) from a vertical position. I read it in a post or journal or somewhere (which doesn't necessarily make it true). In the featured thread pics, the grower had them oriented horizontaly, with little home made reflectors, over the tops of the lamps. It was pointed out that that particular light setup was less efficent than it could be, by the lamps being horizontal and the reflectors actually absorb and distort the light waves, instead of reflect them back down like one would think. There's a name for this phenomenon, but I can't remember what it is.
Supposedly, the most efficient is with the lamp oriented vertical and the reflector at the top.
Anyone?

yea i think ive seen that test; but at the end IMO i think it boils down to end what kind of light your using. they say cfls is best to have the bulb horizontal , hps and MH depends on both the bulb and set up...but to answer ur question theres a saying out there "once you vert, you never revert".
