Most innovative/efficient light traps for pc grow??

    Default Most innovative/efficient light traps for pc grow??

    I'm out of ideas for how to lightproof my PC so it doesn't glow out the fans like a freakin jack-o-lantern while still getting good airflow??

    The above, or just a 90 degree PVC elbow (diameter based on fan size) and paint the inside of the elbow black.

    thanks, videos actually kinda helpful, already tried a similar design, just wish i could get the info without listening to this dude blubber on for three five minute videos..

    I built two of these for my intake and exhaust, but didnt like the added noises from the airflow, and the fans working harder, btw image is from born to do it right here on RIU,here's a link to our origional thread in the RIU PC gang http://www.rollitup.org/groups/rolli...ggestions.html thanks again man

    You should have carbon filters on exhaust fans that block light. Smok4 on another forum used PC fan guards with thin layer of carbon in pantyhose squished in and fastened on.

    You can make a variation of this (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=135524) using plastic corner guards from home depot painted flat black.

    I just made a modified version of scrubninja's light trap (above drawing)

    I used z channel flashing in a wood frame. I have couple construction pic in my linked thread. Should have finished pics up this evening, will let you know how it works. Without paint still lets too much light through

    The guys in scrubninja's thread tried "z"s, but "z"s seriously cut the air flow. "V"s (right angle corner guards) worked better. I hope the "z"s work for you, voidling, but just saying. The thread over there is a long with one, with lots of guys trying different items...
