We dont need to eat meat.
Grain, milk, sugar, wheat, fruits, we can live off of these, in fact we can actually live healthier and grow STRONGER without eating meat!
A tiger doesn't eat fruit. We shouldn't eat the tigers food.
as humans, our natural being, we are not supposed to eat meat. Its kinda like a cow eating a bird, or eating bacon! | No we are omnivores and require meat in our diets although it is possible to not have meat in todays world of instant access. Tigers are carnivores their bodies are made for meat just like our bodies are made for a balaced diet of variety. We don't grow stronger without meat in fact many people will suffer from various vitamin and nutrient deficiencies. In a low energy future most of our diet will come from staple food like the ones you listed but we will still require meat to remain healthy. I do agree people today do eat meat and animal product to excess and the result is animal cruelty. If I raise a happy cow and kill it for my family without waste I don't consider that cruelty. |

| | Our bodies arnt made to eat meat. Look at our teeth. this is going to go into a bigggg war on if we can eat meat or not...
Soy has all the vitamins and protien that a steak has. "
Tofu, seitan, tempeh, nuts U can get a natural serving of creatine too...
As nutrient wise, meats dont come close to what non meat products like fruits and grains can offer.
Im not even bashin meat, cause of the cruel videos... Im just going through this the "scientific" way... Just because one theory is accepted here, doesn't mean the other ones are wrong.. it just a choice of people.

Much of the world famine problem is due to a lack of high quality protein in peoples diet. This type can only be provided by meat and interestingly hemp seed Soy is lacking in some necessary essential amino acids that come from meat. We evolved to eat both meat and plants just ask any doctor or nutritionist. |

many doctors/scientists and nutritionists Say we have to eat meat.... and many say we dont. Who to believe?
I dont trust most of the education of the US.. i trust out of US info...
And no, your wrong, meat is not the only thing that can offer protein efficiently. in fact its not so much effiecient at all.
If you eat a 8oz steak its about 60 grams worth of protein with about 600-700g fat..
you can get 30 grams of protein from a cup of soy beans... with almost 100g fat, and it is good cholesterol.
WHo cares, lets just stick to our own choices ! Im not here to try to convince anybody...!! PEACE |

| | All essential amino acids may be obtained from plant sources, and even strict vegetarian diets can provide all dietary requirements, provided they are based on a variety of whole plant foods. Some believe that careful monitoring of nutrient levels is important in strict vegetarian diets, but there are virtually no cases of protein-deficiency among populations consuming adequate calories. The only common cases of protein-deficiency occur among populations that are chronically undernourished.[citation needed]
Complete proteins contain a balanced set of essential amino acids for humans. Animal sources such as meat, poultry, eggs, fish, milk, and cheese provide all of the essential amino acids.[3] Complete proteins are also found in some plant sources such as spirulina, quinoa, soy, buckwheat, hempseed, and amaranth, among others.
The chronically undernourished populations are what I am discussing most people in the world simply do not have access to the variety of food that we do so many of their amino-acids (proteins essential to human life) come from meat products. Although it is possible to obtain these amino acids from plant sources even in the "complete" plant sources of amino acids the amount is too low therefore in order for a vegetarian to stay healthy they must consume MANY more calories. Meat is more sensible it can be consumed in smaller caloric amounts and still provide enough essential amino acids for human development. Its quality of protein not quantity. |

| | Read this and tell me people do not need meat it a very high minded attitude to have it's similar to Marie Anntoinette: "If they have no bread let them eat cake". Malnutrition - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

| | Yeah, the FDA doesn't know what the hell they're doing. It seems like every year they recall at least one drug because it either fucks people up really badly or kills them.
