I've been to Israel and met young Israeli and Palistinian people who are working hard to bridge the gap between the two states. They constantly run into trouble from narrow minded folks who have made no effort to understand the other side. Maybe someday when all the old politicians and religious leaders have passed away the young people will be able to bring in peace. Remember peace?
There is a very nice shop keeper in my neighborhood who is Palestinian. His family owned a productive olive farm in Palestine which he was being groomed to run. It had been in his family for generations and was their legacy, it was all he knew. One day some men with guns who were far too white to be indigenous came and told his workers to take a day off. Then another. Then a week. Then they told him that they had found artifacts nearby, and would he mind if they built a small structure around it. He did not object. Before they even built a structure, they told him he had to move. When he refused he was forced to go by intimidation and told he would recieve no compensation. They were pulling up the olive groves as he and his family walked to the nearest village, wondering what the hell they would do next. Now he sells stoners slurpees, porn, and bic lighters. This is not fair.
There was a group who kicked another group out of their homes and forced them into ghettos because it was "their motherland". Learn to honor the two state solution that was approved by Israel's government, or you fall victim to the same evils that poisened the Nazis against your people.
