Default religion and happiness all views accepted be respectful

Ok this is kinda silly but who cares if aliens exist and visit would you still believe in god ? I use to but I do not any more I'm no longer apart of the matrix lol but belief in aliens is not what changed my mind I took simple logic and decided to just be a good person and what I think is a waste of my time thoughts and energy trying to follow a book of rules and teachings I found I have been a much happier and nicer person and people and life around me seems to be happier so why am I better without religion why do I see life around me happier ?

Please don't try to be disrespectful and also try not take things to hard or personal will learn twice as much from each other this way

I like the way you think. + Rep for courage.

We are in persuit of happiness. That is something the world doesn't get. In Russia I was asked, at a Bar. "Ah Ameriski, persue happiness, da? Why always disappointed?"

    What?!?!

His point it seemed was that in Russia they know happiness is rare, so they are never disappointed.

Thanks for the rep my first but what I'm thinking based on the my experience and have read is our reality and happiness start with us looking for the positive and reality is perception so your personal happiness is a choice but fear is evil it clouds your thoughts and wears on you physically why physically ? Religion spreads fear created hate such empowers people in power

All my opinions and it evolves with information all the time

It would be fascinating to ask the aliens if they have or had religions. cn

My religion suggests that there are countless alien life forms. This does not imply there is not a god, it just suggests the idea of a god singling us out as utterly stupid.

So now lets look at the logic of christianity. If there is no other life in the universe and god singled us out and sent his only begotten son, why is the universe so big? It would imply that we should be fruitful and multiply across the stars as most likely the universe was made just for us. Why aren't good christians focusing on building starships?

If on the other hand, there are aliens and god sent his only son here to save us, we must be the black sheep of the universe. Galactic bad boys... worst neighborhood in the universe.

Obviously these two possibilities are both stupid, suggesting the premise on which they started is absurd.

To answer the bolded: ime too many active Christians are chiliasts. The believe theirs is the last generation before the rapture, so building a starship would be a waste. A technophilic denomination/sect that didn't emphasize the last book of the bible would be logical for building ... arks, really. cn

I've never seen a UFO or aliens but I think it makes more sense them being real a world wide hoax is possible with the understanding that the laws of nature are more like guidlines for our physical form and we still have the ability to find loop holes so how is anything 100% I mean 2+2=4 but what if our alien friends decide to teach us a few things and the knowledge turns our understanding of everything upside down we on this site have a problem accepting other opinions why would anyone want to help us if we cant even peacfuly except different views

I tried reading this with the proposed punctuation and I will have to admit that I am at a loss.
