...I've heard a bit about it, and I think this one I will actually watch! To be honest, I haven't seen a new movie in almost 8 or so years. Just the animated ones, those I'll always watch

I see every new Pixar in theater. I went to this one because my daughter was in an adolescent tizzy of anticipation. She's a Ridley Scott/H.R. Giger fan. A coupla years ago I got her a book of Giger's design drawings for the 1979 original. We were both impressed to see some of Giger's studies for intermediate forms being nicely executed in CGI. Imo the movie is as much fun on the big screen as Avatar, but it's truly at the limit of my tolerance for horror.
