But here's a thread to explore Christianity...
Exclusively!!
With a scriptural reference, whether Biblical, Apocryphal... and all the 700+ lost books?....Whatever!
But for those with a "Christ like mind"
So, please, if you want to beat a Person of the Book; choose another thread?

When my Mother died and, later, when my son died I couldn't see the Crucifix as Christ.
All the time I was grieving I could see both their deaths as representative of the death of Christ
Every death a little crucifixion....

I have a lot of trouble excepting Christ as my savior. Its not that I don't believe its just that I think that he was saddled with the mesiah thing.

You may want to change "Excepting" for "Accepting"
That's the kinda point to the thread...."Messiah" ? "Prophet"? "Man"? "God"?....

Hmmm, can one be a "good" Christian and smoke marijuana where it is illegal to possess?

Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

Very good point! But I'm of a mind that the herb was instituted by God.
When taken with this point in mind, and to get closer to a spirituality reality, it's easy to see why.
A good smoke, good music, and a few hours with scripture......

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's...but I don't see Babylon growin' any herb!.. Must be ours then!?

Is it really hard to accept that this certain scripture is a man made rule? Hitler and the Nazi's were authorities once, would you comply with them just because the bible told you so? This is one of those scriptures that was man made so man could control men.
