Default I believe the concept of God transcends religions
Otherwise everyone on earth who belongs to an exclusionary religion is cursed to hell by someone else.

I believe it's best we all get along because everyone can use a little lovin'.

That's certainly a better view than religions have.

But why even bother with the middleman.

The concept of logic transcends god.

Faith will always have an answer for the unexplainable.

It will be some time before humanity has all the answers.

Until then, we will always have to believe there is a limit to our understanding.

To go beyond that limit, we must first have desire, and only then are our minds able to expand and evolve, using our theories like machetes to slice through the unknown.

Default I challenge all
to truthfully answer the unexplainable.

Everyone believes in their own personal limit to understanding.

Where is your cut off point for "unexplainable" though?

What is unexplainable today may have an explanation tomorrow.

Even the origin of the universe may be explainable in the lifetimes of this generation or the next.

If something is "unexplainable" maybe its because the question was worded incorrectly.

Default You define your own rules
I can only define my own point of unexplainability. What makes sense to me, may not make sense to you.

As humanity evolves, beliefs convert into collective knowledge at an increasing rate.

That is why the old books no longer make complete sense.

You define your own point of where things stop having answers you believe, and you must convert to guessing (theorizing).

I believe the message of the thread was to accept others for their belifs, whatever they may be.

Not to hurl insults at everyone who doesnt agree with you/ Would you rather only be in company of people who are just like you? And do what they do when they do it and exactly how they do it? No, I dont think so.

I didn't hurl insults. You should revisit the posts.

And beliefs don't get equal play just because you say so.

Members of NAMBLA believe that it's totally natural for men to have sex with young boys.

Members of various religions believe it's perfectly okay to kill someone for adultery, including monogamous premarital sex.

If someone believes that a trait specific to you - eye color, handedness, sexual orientation - is wrong because "gods" or scripture says so, do you still hold their beliefs sacred?

The statement I addressed was "truthfully explain the unexplainable".

Anyone claiming to be able to explain something "unexplainable" is lying. If they were capable of providing a truthful explanation it would not be unexplainable.

Some things may currently defy explanation, but that does not make them unexplainable. Substituting acknowledgment of deficiency with falsehoods, such as those used by many faiths, does nothing to improve the actual comprehension but instead fills gaps where knowledge would otherwise reside.
