I'd read and heared alot about lucid dreams and I've always wanted to have one, but when I used to try I'd get scary ass semi lucid dreams where I'd know I was dreaming but I wanted to wake up and I couldn't(i ran around in my room in a dream screaming to wake up but it wuldnt work) for those of u who don't know what lucid dreaming is it's becoming conscious in a dream, usually by realizing ur dreaming and not letting it surprise u enough to wake up. In a lucid dream your pretty much god. U can do whatever u want, grow ten feet tall, fly, have sex with someone u want to in real life (fuckin crazy right?) and it all feels totally real. People even use them to practice presentations and shit like that, and fat people use them to help lose weight (instead of eating four big macs now, u can become lucid and eat ten of those motherfuckers, with no weight gain)

Anyway, all night i'd been calling bullshit on like all of my dreams (she wouldn't have my phone, that thing doesn't talk, this is a fuckin dream) and it was always waking me up. I guess by the last one I called bs, it just wasn't surprising anymore and I became lucid. The first thing I said was, oh tight. ( I think I was still a little buzzed).

Setting: my backyard during the day with my girlfriend.

At first all I didnwas walk around, looked up a the sky (it was like a pinkish red color it was so cool) and then tried to fly. The flying thing wasn't really happening, but after all it was my very first LD. I read that yelling increase lucidity sends a message to your brain and makes the dream more lucid, so that's what I did. Then I flew. I jumped, stuck my arm out like I was fuckin superman, and flew over my shed. It was fuckin amazing. One of the best feelings I've ever had in my life. I also heard that if u spin around in an ld it'll take u do a different location, so after I landed that's what I did. I ended up teleporting me and my girl to an unknown office in the hospital we've been goin up to to c our son. After that I think I woke up.

Has anyone on here ever had a lucid dream? If not, ur missin out.

So it really works huh? What's the methods you used to be able to successfully do such a feat?

Some good thngs to do are keep a dream journal so u can recognize themes and patterns in ur dreams easier, which wuld make it easier to tell if ur dreaming. U can also do reality checks throughout the day(pinch urself, ect) that way ull learn to do it in a dream which could make u become lucid.

An actual good method of inducing an ld is to go to be at night sleep for like six hrs wake up for like 15 min and when u go back to sleep think about lucid dreaming and lucid dreaming only. Itbhas like a 60 percent success rate.
But most of all, u have to really want to do it.

That's what sucks about LDs, get a bad one and its fuckin terrifying. I've had a dream kinda like that before. The more experienced LDers don't gotta worry about shit like that, thy have complete control over their dreams.

Any tips from your experience that I should know that I wouldn't typically hear about on your 'average joes' lucid dreaming sites?

Yea. Sometimes trying too hard or thinking about it too much can fuck with you. Back when I always used to try and think about it, I was making progress, but like I mentioned before I had some really scary kind lucid dreams. I developed a small phobia of the beginning stages of sleep (hearing voices, sleep paralysis, ect) itbwas nothing too bad, I still got to sleep. But when I had my first one last night I wasn't thinking very much about it at all. And also, ur gonna have to be real patient. It's frustrating and takes forever, but it's extremely worth it.

Here, I'll give you all something to really chump on...

I haven't focused on my dream state as Much as I did as A child... But it's all coming back to me Now..

The first experience I had at controlling my dream was when I was real young, can't remember the exact age.. probably around 4-5yo.. I used to have nightmares about the Mechanical CAt on Tom & Jerry, That Tom designed to chase Jerry for Him.., Well I had nightmares of me being in my house and the Mechanical Cat would chase me.. It was Real, Tho' - not cartoonish, but Metal, with Red Glowing Eyes..., and the House was always pitch Dark.. I experienced this nightmare until 1 day while watching the episode, I saw Jerry fighting Off the MC, and something just set in me that said, I'm not going to let the MC get me anymore.. That night, the Nightmare took place and the whole scenario that ended up in him chasing me took place..., but instantly something flashed..., I was thinking and Said, NO, I'm not going to run from you any more.. I turned around and ran towards the MC and picked it up and started slamming it against the Wall,,. afterwards I remember looking down at it and saying it wasn't that big and bad after all.., shortly after that I woke up and never had the Dream again...

Now here's the Really good one, That I think invovles me being in another Dimension State.....

I used to always have a dream that I could Fly... Like SuperMan, During the Dream I would fly around, and the Cue that I was beginning to Wake Up..., I would start Falling into a pitch of Darkness and being unable to breathe, I would gasp and Wake Up...

This Dream happened several times and the last time..., I was falling, I started thinking NO, I'm not going to fall, I need to Breathe.. and instead of Gasping, I jumped up outta bed, and begin floating..(real shit).. I floated across the Room.., I looked into the mirror and was like, I'm doing it.. I then started thinking and saying to myself I can't wait to show all my friends what I'm able to do.. I floated back over the Room and back down to the Bed, and said I need to test it again to make sure I can do it... When I landed on the bed.. at this point I rested my head on the Pillow and tried to Jump back up again.. It didn't happen, I tried and Tried, but it wouldn't happen.. and I never had that dream again..

Those were some key point Dreams in my life that consisted in the realms of controlling them. with the first being around the age 4-5yo and the latter being around 8-9yo..

I have had siimilar type dreams and phenomenons happen during those states but they became Rare and few as I got older and started liking Girls and partying...

I still would have similar control during the rest of my time growing up, but nothing to that extreme but more-so like the MC nightmare control.., but I wouldn't be able to remember b/c (ie girls, partying, smoking)..

Lately tho', I believe I stated, that since I have eased back on daily smoking, I've been able to manipulate my dreams with ease and steady control.., Even if I wake up to go Piss, I will just go back and find it.., and pick up where I left..

I've found that after a long night of tokin and (used to be tappin my girl but she just had a kid) I was more tired and they were easier to control. Not so much after partyin though.

I have tried lucid dream before with no results..i did it for over a month i think..i kept a dream journal, before4 going to sleep i over read and read again my dream journal....when i was trying to go to sleep i told myslef over and over that i would realize when im at sleep..But, nothing...i think i will try this again soon...
