This is a good thread but such a broad topic to cover in general. You guys have some unique perspectives though, I wish there were more people that thought outside of the box instead of following their pre-determined lives. If you follow a certain religion then there really is no other perceptions or philosophies on life- just a straight line. Time to wake up, people!

I explained something to a friend on RIU recently that I feel applies,

Philosophy to me isn't learning the best way of thought or life. Each and all philosophies are right and wrong in their own ways, or rather help break down impediments towards our mental/emotional/intellectual clarity. I find philosophy engaging, and discussions with really well spoken and thought out people to be similar to chess. Be it informative, intellectual stimulation or simple good fun.

The first half more than not, but I believe the point is had. It's not to teach you a specific close minded practice in life, it's, while keeping an open mind, taring down the walls blocking your vision from clarity.

DJBoxhouse - I agree! Playing chess with logic and belief and science is such fun!

I believe a day is coming when we will have more time for debate.

If you're interested in having my apparent disjointed statements make more sense, one possible way is to have someone you know who does not get high (but instead totes a tarot deck or a bible or perhaps even a real ex-hippie if you're lucky enough to know one) to take a look at my blog.

It makes much more sense when you talk about it with a friend.

Especially The End.

I love about forums the ability to pick out any of many bonfires to hang with for a while.
A little like Woodstock that way.

Sometimes there is a structure that is not visible because of all the damned trees!

Or smoke.

Yeah, exactly. Coneversating with others on philosophy is really interesting. I've tried talking to people with "religions" that they follow and they never give me any insight or ideas on life. It's always "this is what jesus wants you to do", or this is what you SHOULD do.

bullshit.

let's take a real perspective and talk about things that exist, and things that we feel. not some wacky nonsense that's there for a backup for people to feel good about.

Let it be....

Live & Let live....

The goal of life is not to arrive at the grave with a perfectly preserved corpse having experienced little of the great freedoms of life, but more over to arrive with a hell of a speedslide , exclaiming " Damn what a ride"

I took some cuttings from a friend's trainwreck. it was from a feminized seed from Green House Seeds, they supposedly backcrossed/feminized it from the original Arcata cut. its a supremely fun strain to observe, grows crazy fast. stop by my journal and check it out.
