One question I have is how did the Mayans (or any ancient dooms day prophets) know that 2012 was going to be the date? Because We didn't start Our current yearly counting until Jesus was born (and the Mayans predicted this date before Jesus). (Maybe) I believe they knew He was coming with the new age and thus the begginning of the counting of years A.D. If We didn't have Jesus for a referance point, how else would We know what year We are in?

I believe the Earths gravity is actually (slowly) increasing as it gains mass from the energy of the Sun. As We (the Earth) absorb solar radiation We are actually increasing in mass because M = E/C^2, i.e., mass is equal to energy divided by the speed of light squared. Thus the Suns energy is being converted into mass as it is absorbed by objects. So is the Earths rotation being slowed by this mass gain, since a larger body has more inertia?

It was all planned by God Almighty!

And BTW, I'm not saying that I don't believe in God, but maybe We were planted here, just like We could bring life to the Moon or Mars. All the Moon (and other reasonably habitable planets) needs is an atmophere, some water and seeds which could be sent over from Earth via launching stations.

I'm just looking for the Truth. The Sumerians were VERY smart and lots of great things were derived from them.

I consider Myself an open minded Christian. Jesus didn't come from thin air, He was born from a women. Just as Our life on Earth could have come from another civilization. To believe that humans evolved exclusively from chemical reactions seems far fetched to Me. Whow knows?

I think its ignorant to believe that We are the most advanced civilization in the universe.
