If any (wo)man, demon, voice, sense, wicked spirit, etc, etc attempts to put fear in you, make sure it is the fear of the Almighty Lord.

In other words, if something of wicked or evil essence or motives (such as death) comes in your presence with some measure or sense of (false/disorderly) fear; “set your attitude/mind”, that your reception of that thing or thought of potential shortcoming with the “More than Conqueror” principled attitude, that you may use that thing (of fear) for the increase-ment of personal character and/or self esteem and/or true confidence as oppose to an object of self entrapment, self un-fulfillment, and even sin as a result of the fear of the lesser object/creation.

The godly approach to facing an object of fear, lesser than the fear of the Lord is by nothing less than the “absolute appropriate order” of the fear of the Most High God/Creator only, which is the original purpose.

By doing so you are purging, scaring or just removing the false fear of anything less than the Almighty Lord out of you. To fear anything less than the Almighty Lord and the reality of His judgment if you are disobedient to the commands he puts on our hearts and consciences is a type of “idol worship”, which according to the “Ten Commandments” are not what he requires of us in order t be of his blessing.

Deuteronomy 6:13 Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; v.15 for the LORD YOUR God, who is among you ids a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. Do not test the Lord your God as you did in Massah. v.17 Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you. Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take the good land that the Lord promised on oath to your forefathers, v.19 thrusting out all your enemies before you, as the Lord said.


Fear the Lord
Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, v.13 and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
To the Lord your God belong the heaven, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it. v.15 Yet the Lord set his affection on your forefathers and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations, as it is today. Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. v.17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing. v.19 And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt. Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. v.21 He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. Your forefathers who went sown into Egypt were seventy in all, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky.

Deuteronomy 31:12 Assemble the people- men, women and children, and the aliens/Gentiles living in your towns- so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law. v.13 Their children, who do not know this law, must hear it and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

2 Samuel 23:3 The God of Israel spoke,
the Rock of Israel said to me:
‘When one rules over men in
righteousness,
he is like the light of morning at
sunrise
on a cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain
that brings the grass from the earth.’

Psalms 19:9 – 14 The fear of the Lord is pure,
and enduring forever.
The ordinances of the Lord are sure
and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey on the comb.
v.11 By them is your servant warned;

Isaiah 51:7 “ Hear me, you who know what is
right,
you people who have my law in your hearts:
Do not fear the rep[roach of men
or be terrified by their insults.

Philippians 2:12 – 13 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed- not only in my presence, but now more in my absence- continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, v.13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Jude 22 – 23 Be merciful to those who doubt;
v.23 snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear-hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Revelation 14:7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the springs of water.”
