im thinkin of gettin a full rib cage tattoo for my first tat and was wonderin about the pain?? ohh on a scale of 1-10 i would say my pain tolerance is a 7 or 8

oooh...that might hurt. its a sensitive part of the body. if your sides and that are ticklish it might be worse. or if you are really thin...that will make it hurt more too because theres less fat to cover the bones...and tattoo needles do hurt a bit more going over bones...

most painful spots are typically next to or over bones. One of the tattoo artist I was going to was having a tree with all kinds of branches over his ribs and he said it was exstreemly painful, like brought tears to his eyes. My most painful was my hip, then elbow, then inside bicept

I have quite a few tattoos, and I have a lot of HEAVILY tattooed friends. I've talked to a lot of artists, and I have several close friends who are artists. The consensus is that rib tattoos are some of the worst. I know people who have started big rib pieces and not finished them for a long time or at all yet.

I do have a friend who has a huge tattoo on his ribs and it's his only one. It's pretty amazing.

danggggggg i want a big one on my ribs for armpit to hip and front to back

I got two tattoos (half sleeve idea in the works.) Got my first one upper middle black which was relatively painless and the second one I got on the right side of the ribs. It was pretty painful, and on a scale from 1 - 10 I would give in about a 6-7. Not the type of pain that had in me in tears just wincing the whole time, It took about an hour to complete. I'll attach a picture if you want to see.

Brizxle, G/L with that one, Arm Pit to Hip? WOW that is some painful areas, when I got my hip done it felt like he was tattooing the bone, won't be surprised if that part of the bone is colored... lol

By wincing I mean not having a straight face, not like crying or making any audible sounds. I didn't add the attachment in the previous post, I was just saying I would If anyone was curious.
