Thanks!
One of the strains I grow I'd like to have some "knockout" stuff, I have some pretty bad insomnia. Hell, I've been awake for going on 30 hours right now.
Pain relief is a must for at least one of the others I grow. Back pains, neck pains, arthritis, as I get older, I'm sure it will only get worse. And I'm only 34.
> green Inferno................try some of Doc's chemo iranian

Those are some amazing yields even with the problems. Thanks for the pictures and smoke report.

Ive noticed, looking at smoke reports and grow journals, that the greener looking (less red/orange hairs) SD usually has the more diesel smell while the hairier more orange looking bud tends to have a more sour grapefruit smell and flavor. From the pics all 3 plants look identical Have you noticed any differences among the three plants?

Im finishing my first grow that came from and 2 SD bagseeds I started on a lark. They both grew and their roots got tangled so theyre growing together now. I have a 3ft pineapple and food grease smelling plant (the diesel and fruit scents are starting to come out just now) thats all buds and orange hairs and an 8" blue/gray pure diesel smelling girl both 60 days into flower.

Both super sensitive to nutes and just now starting to stink (smelled like pee before but that was from overdosing on PH UP).

They were all pretty much the same....but plants 2 and 3 had more of the sour lemon taste to them then plant 1 did. Plant 1 had a stronger diesel taste.

I started as a paying customer and after running a journal on one of the strains I purchased, Doc offered me a free pack of Sour Diesel if i ran a journal on it. He had some conditions and asked me to run a honest journal, warts and all, and thats what i did. I kept my word so he offered me another strain to run and thats been my relationship with him since that time. I am a tester for Doc but more then that, i now consider him a friend as he has been very helpful to me in a personal way as well as giving me great growing advice. I dont want to go into the personal thing too much but lets just say as well as giving me great personal advice on many topics, Doc has offered to help someone very close to me who is sick, and that says it all to me. We live many miles apart so i have never met him and only talked to him one time at length on the phone. We pretty much do everything by email but i still consider him a true friend.
He never needed to do anything more then give me some growing advice , if even that, but he has gone out of his way to help me out, so i figure I should do the same. Thats why I chime in.

Yes i do. The only thing i would warn someone about is if they have anxiety issues. SD can be a bit trippy and could cause some issues...possibly. Other then that i think the SD is good for both appetite and nausea.

Grower:
Dr Gruber

Method Smoked:
Joints, glass pipes and vape.

Soil/Hydro:
Soil

SMELL-
When you run over a fresh Skunk in your car, the smell is so strong its like burning rubber before the more familiar skunk smell settles in. Thats how this smells.

Dominant smell of bud:
Burnt Rubber/Fuel/Skunk

Associated smells of bud:
Earthy-skunk, skunk, and skunk.

TASTE-

Dominant flavor:
Fuel/Burnt Rubber/Skunk

Associated flavors:
Spearmint/pine

Harsh/smoothness: (1-10, 1 being extremely harsh and 10 being extremely smooth) --
8

- Cough factor? : Yes/no ---
Yes- This smoke is thick and it expands.

BUZZ-
Light up and watch the wallpaper move all by itself. This stuff is very trippy but it also has a couch lock like feeling when overdone. When used sparingly this is motivational pot but only for one task at a time, dont bother trying to multitask, it isnt happening. I did a wake and bake and went out in public and I felt like I did back in High School. My eyes were so heavy and everything looked so fuzzy that it felt like everyone had to know I was baked. It was fun!

How I rate potency-
I try to rate potency based on what type of Pot it isSativa or Indica, couch lock or energetic, etc.
I gave the Cindy a 9.5 based on it being the most energetic pot Ive ever grown. I rate the SD the same 9.5 but it is by far a more stony smoke then the Cindy. It hits way harder and is more trippy but not as energetic. Hope this makes sense.

Profile

Potency: (1-10, 1 being extremely weak and 10 being extremely potent)
9.5

Duration: (approx length of buzz, from first hit)
2-5 hrs

Use: Daytime/Bedtime --
Mostly bedtime but nice in the day when you have nothing to do. Take 2-hits for day time use, 4-hits or more for night time use.

Munchies: Yes/no----
Yesand then some.

Comments-
Out of all the Greenthumb gear I have grown this is my favorite by far. Not as energetic as the Cindy but way more trippy, a perfect combo of sativa/indica effects, I like this one very much. This SD is as good or better then any Ive smoked through the years. I cant remember any SD that was better, but I can remember a lot that wasnt as good, like the stuff I got a few months ago form a local dispensary. Not even close.
The smell and taste is so strong that it cant be taken anywhere without stealth measures being used. Be careful to not transfer the sticky smell from fingers to jars or baggies when transporting it or the smell will be out of control. After harvesting them, the smell on my Caregivers clothes woke his wife up from a dead sleep.

When looking at the trichs with a scope, there are a lot, but not more then anything else Ive grown. However, when dried, the buds seem to become one big trich, its hard to explain but these buds seem to snap when broken- like it was made of crystal. Its not over dryjust perfect. The smoke is thick and pungent, perfect for joints or pipes and not bad in the Vape either.

The strongest best smelling and tasting of the Doc Greenthumb strains I have grown out so far. Supper-Super Skunk/fuel taste and smell- Beef up the odor control for this one.

Medical qualities:
Great for pain relief, appetite, and depression. I vaped some last night on a high temp because I had bad back pain and it was like a wave of warmth passed over me and I slept like a baby.
I will continue to test for other medical qualities.

Peace-DG
Thank you Dr. Gruber for this report...I have been looking for Sour Diesel and have found a few options, but after your report, it looks like we will have to get another horse in this race...I have bought several options so far, but looks like this will be my next one for this winter's runoff!
