Default Various Smoke Reports by Shepj

First things first, this will be a work in progress; when I get a new strain and pics I will update it.

    Here is the first one:

    Strain: Trainwreck
    Growth: Outdoor
    Nutes: Organic
    Yield: Unsure

Bag Appeal: 8.5/10. I love organically grown weed and I am also a big fan of outdoor. Since it was grown outdoor it does not have the massive amount of resin glands that indoor weed has, but that is fine by me.

    Smell: Mainly skunky and citrusy

Taste: Similar to taste, a little more lemony in my opnion.

The High: Amazing! This is one of the best highs I have ever had hands down. I took my first rip out of a vaporizer to get the full flavor of this strain, when the high started to kick in I was stunned.

Trainwreck has a unique, soaring sativa-high that is impossible to forget. In smaller dosages it takes on an anti-depressant, uplifting, semi-euphoric, calming high. I was quite content with the potency of this strain, even in small dosages. Switching over to gravs/bongs/etc. this strain has some incredible potential! I did not find a ceiling effect nor any significant tolerance buildup even after eating, breathing, and sleeping Trainwreck. If smoking out of a grav/bong I would advise having a relaxed schedule because it will absolutely knock you on your ass!

Comments: If you have not tried this strain, I recommend you either go visit a dispensary and pick some up, or just grow it! You will not be disappointed! This particular batch was grown Organically, Outdoor in Northern California.

nice report shepj.. i've been looking for a quality seed form of trainwreck, but i'm not sure who has the goods .. i see that dr greenthumbs has some femmed beans that he says are the real deal arcatia, and after growing out some of his og kush, i don't doubt it..
since i don't live in a med state as of yet, i was wondering if there was one breeder in particular that you know of that has a killer trainwreck, and please don't say ghsc, or you will slip down some of all that pedastil that i have you up on, lmao.. but honestly, and ideas of what breeder has a good trainwreck? thanx shepj..

I am pretty sure I may have had the clone-only Trainwreck.. so I am not really sure where to start for seeds. In all honesty, I would not be surprised if GHSC had the actual Trainwreck genetics, nonetheless I would never recommend their strains due to their douchebaggery with Mr Nice seeds. I would also not be surprised if Dr. Greenthumb has the Arcata genetics but at his pricing I hope you have plans to take a lot of clones! Sorry that I can't be more informative..

Strain: New York City Diesel (NYCD - Sour Diesel x Afghani x Hawaiian)
Growth: Indoor (Judging by resin glands)
Nutes: I am guessing organic. The flavor is really nice and clean, there is no chemical / nutrient flavor, and it ashes white.
    Yield: Unsure
    Bag Appeal: 8.00/10.00

The buds are very fluffy and light, you are definitely able to see the Sativa dominance in this hybrid. The buds are light green, resin coated, and have pistils with a beautiful light-orange / pink hue!

    Smell:

    • Pink Grapefruit
    • Floral: Rose Petals
    • Hint a fuel (diesel)
    • Slight hazy nuance

    Taste:

    • Grapefruit - Pink Grapefruit
    • Metallic
    • Semi-fuely
    • Sweet floral, light rose petal / baby's breath

    The High:

    • Energetic yet relaxing
    • Pleasant / Very tranquil
    • Clear headed
    • Sativa dominant 60:40
    • Good daytime high
    • Functional high
    • Semi-Euphoric
    • Conversation inspiring
    • Light body high
    • Easy to focus / memory is no problem
    • Optimistic outlook

    Comments:

Extremely smooth, big hits are not a problem with this strain. The high is not overwhelming, so it makes for a perfect morning / daytime smoke. For people who are looking for a sativa with an uplifting, clear-headed high that is not overly potent, this is the strain for you!

Strain: Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium (S.A.G.E. - Big Sur Holy x Afghani Indica)
Growth: Indoor (Judging by resin glands)
    Nutes:
Unsure; flushed rather well visible by the white ashes.
    Yield: Unsure
    Bag Appeal: 8.00/10.00

You can see the influence of both Sativa and Indica in these beautiful, resin-coated buds. Some aspects of the bud formation show the Haze lineage while other aspects are clearly of Afghan descent. These buds were absolutely coated with resin!

    Fragrance:

I was extremely pleased to stumble upon a very fragrant phenotype of The S.A.G.E.
At first, the scent takes on a distinct Lime scent that is then overpowered by a pungent Sage aroma.
    The undertones were oddly complimentary with the Sage and Lime;
the Sage aroma has a light hint of sea salt,
while the Lime aroma takes on a Mango nuance.

Strength of Flavor / Taste / Category / Group / Flavor

    Flavor:

The flavor is somewhat similar to the fragrance but with a bit of a twist.
The smoke is very smooth and takes on a rather pleasant,
somewhat creamy sensation with an ever so light hint of Sour Cream. There is an interestingly ever so slight touch of a mix between Garlic and Chives as a delicate undertone. The Sage and Lime are the most
easily noticed flavors of this strain.

    The High:

    • Calming Yet Somewhat Uplifting
    • Clear-headed (after initial high set in)
    • Very Potent
    • Sativa / Indica Mix
    • Sedating (later on in the high)

    Notes:

The high rendered me unable to take in more aspects to write a smoke report, my apologies if the "high" section is lacking in comparison to the other strains, but this is some potent herb!

    Comments:

The Fragrance is one of the better aromas I have smelled in weed. The flavor could have had a little more potency, as it lacked severely when compared to the potency of the fragrance. The bud was absolutely beautiful and had a high that left me wanting to pick up some more!

    Fragrance & Flavor Breakdown:

The flavors and fragrances were broken down using a couple of "Flavor Wheels" to categorize them and get a more defined idea of where each flavor is derived from.

In this case, the "primary" fragrance is the most dominant. The "secondary" is also easily noticed but not as strong of a fragrance as the "primary". The "hints" are the undertones, and the "nuances" are very light subtleties that can be easily overlooked.
These notes apply for both Fragrances and Flavors.

Strain: Purple Urkle (1970's Mendocino Purple Phenotype)
Growth: Outdoor (Judging by resin glands)
    Nutes:
    Probably Organic.
    Yield: Unsure
    Bag Appeal: 8.25/10.00

This is honestly some amazing looking herb!
There was not much vibrant purple,
but there is purple present in various shades.
The array of color on the bud is amazing!
    From Lime Greens to White,
from Dark Greens to Purples, not to mention some turquoise here and there!
The pistils have a beautiful array of color as well.

    Fragrance:
A unique "blue-purple" skunky aroma with a dominant Concord Grape with a lighter Sweet Grape undertone,
packed with an amazing hint of Blueberry,
topped with hints of Lemon Balm and a cooling Lemony-Menthol!

Strength of Flavor / Taste / Category / Group / Flavor

    Flavor:

The flavor is even more amazing that I expected!
For starters the flavor is somewhat similar to the fragrance,
the main difference is that the flavor takes on a light Lilac nuance on top of the Blue-Purple-Skunkiness.
This is one of the more flavorful strains I have encountered yet, as the depth of the flavor is just as expanse as the fragrance! I definitely recommend this strain with Fragrance & Flavor alone to any connoisseur of Cannabis.

    The High:

    • Calm Tranquil High
    • Slightly-Euphoric
    • Very Potent
    • Heavily Indica Dominant
    • Great for Medicine (Insomnia, Migraines, Muscle/Joint Pain, Pain in General, Anxiolytic, Nausea, etc.)
    • Good for Conversation
    • Good "Stay at Home" high
    • Body Buzz (Really heavy eyes)

    Notes:

The high takes on two main and very different natures, the first is in small amounts:

"In small amounts the high from the Urkle is a pleasant, and tranquil indica-dominant high. The Urkle also has an anxiolytic / semi-euphoric effect that can be described as 'Pure Relaxation'. There seems to be just enough Sativa influence to balance out the sleepy feeling and keep you awake"

On higher amounts, it takes on an entirely different nature that is hard to capture on paper. After the initial effects creep and start to build-up a random "BOOM!" comes crashing into your face as the Urkle pounds your brain into a warm-fuzzy, euphoric, Indica-retardation. The effects are EXTREMELY POTENT! Do not smoke heavy if you have an agenda, you will eventually pass out!

    Comments:

From the bag appeal, to the flavor and fragrance, all the way down to the end of the high contain the qualities of a top-notch strain! I understand why these genetics have been around so long, these genetics are an absolute winner!
