Bubblegum - Serious Seeds

I've got extreme tolerance build up so my review of the potency will be out of kilter with reality. I have a friend who stops in a couple times a year when he goes by my town, he and his evil twin brother got me smoking bud 10 years ago and he smokes regularly and considers himself a pot head.

Last time he was up I had some Dr Greenthumb Big Laughing - which is great but I don't find it as potent as Serious Bubblegum - and we shared a Volcano bag. I usually have a bag every hour or so and hardly notice any effects. My buddy couldn't finish 1/3 a bag and had to stare at the wall for 15 minutes before he was functional enough to focus on the TV.

So, by comparison I can say that Bubblegum has a fairly good hit and it gives me a mild but beautiful floaty high. Good mood elevator.

Serious Bubblegum is an excellent strain, to grow and vaporize. Love it. If ordering remember that Serious is the sativa pheno and TH is the indica which would give a more sedative stone than energizing high. Another option would be Bogbubble or one of BOG's amazing crosses like Sour Bubble.

Spectrum of Experience


1. Onset: fast effect or creeper. creeper 1 2 3 4 5 fast

3 to 3.5 - I start to feel it fast, sometimes a lightness in the head while holding the inhale. Most of the effects start within a couple of minutes and build. It takes me 15 minutes to go through a Volcano bag.

2. Up (stimulating) and Down (sedative)

Up.

- Liven the disposition and stimulate the emotions:

Mood elevator. A lightness of being. Great for hiking the beach/woods with an I-inhale or just sitting alone.

Inspiring sociability and talkativeness:

I'm usually very solitary and Bubblegum makes people tolerable to be around and still leaves me sharp enough to make fun of them and deliver some cutting insults.

Sedative and depressant effects:

None that I notice, even on the come down which is mild.


3. Head High / Body Stone
Energizing - yes
Motivating - yes
Couch lock - no

Bubblegum releases you to do the things you want, but doesn't drive you to do them with uncontrollable urges.

4. Emotional State Caused
Anxiety - no
Euphoria - yes, but controllable euphoria.
Calm - yes
paranoia - no

5. Body - medicinal effects
Nausea - mild help
Pain - not known
Seizures - not known
Back - not known

6. Head - medicinal effects
Depression - very good helping depression while leaving functional
Mania - have not had the pleasure of finding out. Yet.
Anxiety - good
Antisocial - makes people tolerable for short periods
Anger - fucken right I get angry but the Bubblegum doesn't help me get angrier!

7. Ceiling: How high (of far) one is capable of going with the variety. How many hits can be consumed until more hits are unnoticeable.

I'm noticing a ceiling but I'll check with my buddy next time he's up. If I can get him to keep hitting the Volcano.

8. Potency: weak 1 2 3 4 5 strong

More potent than Big Laughing, not as potent as Kali Mist. 3.5

9. Duration short 1 2 3 4 5 long

Maybe an hour.

10. Tolerance: ability to provide the same experience via the same amount over time – the burnout factor. "Over time" means the long run: months, years, decades...

Not known.

11. Taste

Bazoka Joe, sports card gum, that pink gum that comes like a Tootsie roll. The lightest hint of icing sugar, pink gum sweetness.

A little off-topic, I haven't tried Bubblegum but suffered a manic episode and did some Blueberry and Hindu Kush during that time. Basically the effect of a full volcano balloon lasted about 3 minutes. At times it was so bad that by the time the next balloon was filled the effect of the old one was gone. Before the manic episode I would average 3-4 balloons every night, and a single balloon of the same weed would have me nicely buzzed for at least an hour.

I guess what I'm trying to say is - don't make fun of this stuff. It may sound great when you read about it on Wikipedia or see it in the movies but you really don't want it happening to you.

Kaban sorry to hear you had a bad experience, doesn't sound pleasant.

I have bi polar disorder and was making fun of the manic episodes I'm going to have regardless of the amount of bud I smoke. I was wondering if Bubblegum would help or exasperate the manic phase, not making fun of mania the strain might produce in someone.

I've never gotten manic from bud but have always had the trouble of needing one bag after another. I almost soley use the Volcano and my throat still constantly sore from hitting so many bowls. Cough almost every hit. I thought the problem started from weak bud, but while my friends are staring at the wall after 1/2 a bowl I'm. still. clear. headed.

Horrible existence.

Stop smoking for a week.

Seriously.

Your tolerance will zero out and you can get super high off of a single bag like your buddies.

nice detailed report. I feel ya about tolerence tho. all my homies be gettin way more blazed than me. My homies will take like 2 snappers and ill still be packin snaps for myself long after theyre all tosted

Two friends dropped by today, they never had Bubblegum so I clipped a few buds last night and roasted enough to give them each some as party favors to take home and enough for a few volcano bags while they visited. I roasted at 110 C for an hour and left the bud out to breath for the night. I was expecting it to be harsh, I have some 5 week cured Super Strawberry Diesel by Elite that was pretty smooth and I thought tasteful.

I did up a Volcano bag of each so we could shotgun, from hitting one breath of 5 week SSD then one of baked BG, and back again, I can say that I'll never grow SSD again, it's putrid in comparison. Even clipped and baked BG's flavor is phenomenal - an hour off the plant. It has more of a cheesy taste than the properly cured bud; baked isn't as potent as cured but baked BG is more potent than cured SSD.

And I like the SSD pheno that I'm using, just in contrast I don't know why I'd ever smoke SSD if I had BG on hand.

The plant on the right is the BG, the Flo on the left has another week or three, the Bubblegum should harvest in the next week. The Flo is a knarly plant, twisty leaves, small hard buds. The Bubblegum is an amazing producer, crusted in trichomes. I clipped 5 colas last night, it had 34 in total.

I saved the Bubblegum dregs from my Volcano in a seperate jar, this morning I vaporized them again and it was just as good as last nights. When I had a gallon of the stuff I took it for granted, now that I'm having some again after months without I'm surprised at how good it is.
