Wow, I was pretty stoned last night when i wrote that and I had meant to add some more, but glad i didn't. I called another friend of mine today who grows and enjoys sativas more than i do for some advice/memory recall. I has to ask what it was that he grew that reminded me of Kali Mist. For some reason or another (i swear the pot had NOTHING to do with it! LOL) i couldn't remember what strain it was to save my life.
So anyhow, I'm a big fan of Jack Herer, and i knew it was close to that. So after calling my friend at 6am, he reveils to me that the strain i was thinking of was Super Silver Haze from Mr. Nice; which he grows in his garden. Very fine smoke indeed from what memory serves me. I'll be heading over to his place this weekend for a smokeout and will take some notes. Anyhow, since my friend is bigger guru on sativas than me, i asked what he thought was close to Kali Mist, since he said he hasn't smoked Satori. He also added in others he has grown that seemed to fit the bill. So here's his list: Super Silver Haze - Mr. Nice Nevilles Haze - Mr. Nice Sugar Haze - Seedsman S.A.G.E. -n- Sour - TH Seeds (He did mention that he had a bunch of different phenos on the first run from seed though) Killing Fields - Sannies Seeds Lady Cane - from Sannies he said. Willy Nelson - Reeferman Now of the above mentioned strains, I've smoked: SSH, Lady Cane and Willy Nelson. Been quite awhile since the Lady and Willy blazed my brain, but if they were bad, I'd remember it. I've never once doubted my friends opinions on Sativas at all, and i look forward to trying a few of these out myself. My friend also said he'll be trying out a couple of Subcool/TGA strains later this year since they seemed to use strains that Bros. Gimm used to carry and his brother loved them. Should be a great experience for the 2 of us since he likes the sativas and i usually prefer the indicas. We'll have to smokeout when those girls grow up. Hopefully this helps someone out. Not totally first hand from me, but I think it's of worthy note. |

Great info there, thanks. I just started a mango haze, which is supposed to be a parallel line to the ssh. Hopefully the high is similar. I also started a jack flash #5 fem. I wanted jack, but at $30/regular seed it was little out of my price range.
Willie is one that seems to get consistently great reviews from sativa lovers. A bit pricey, but probably well worth it. If I remember correctly it's supposed to have some thai genetics. Thanks for the comparison, I really appreciate your input. |

wordz satori review
lights:1000w hps and 1000 watt metal halide both ran for 8 hours a day with a 4 hour overlap in the middle of the light period. sex%: 7 female 2 male 1 herm veg time: 2 months, topped mutiple times flower: dependant on pheno 3-4.5 months Grow medium: 5 gal soil nutrients: veg fish emulsion/ flower gh bloom temps: 90d/70n month 1. 80d/ 60n month 2 . 60-70d 60 /40n for 3rd and 4th month yeild 2- 4 ozs per plant of stuff worth keeping ie: not popcorns cure: 1-4 months , in my opinion shouldn't be smoked until the end of second month of cure. problems: spider mites for a month the more resiny phenos did not get mites but they also yeilded less anyway. taste: larger yeilding pheno's were pretty bland but not bad in any way 5/10. the smaller yeilding but more resiny pheno's had a citrus / sugary taste that was 8/10 very good. bud size: not to many popcorns decent sized cola's 7-14 grams. tons of buds that weigh over a gram density: larger yeilding pheno's 6/10. crystally pheno's 8/10 high: large yeilders/ no stupidity, very relaxed but not couchlocky at all. makes everything seem perfect 6.5/10. crystally pheno/ extremely strong HIGH. face numbing, laugh your ass off 8.5/10 comments/ advice: definitly worth the small amount of money they charge like 25 bucks for 10 packs. many different pheno's the yeild is pretty good overall. the crystally pheno's are extremly strong and tasty. the higher yeilding pheno's are much more mellow probably great for anxiety. needs a longer cure to really bring out taste in the larger yeilding ones. the flower time is pretty long for the larger yeilding pheno's but the more potent pheno's finished around 3 months. out of females 5 were larger yeilding pheno's and 2 were super super crystally. extremely easy to grow didn't seem to want alot of nutes either stayed nice and green. also they have a low smell during flower unless rustled almost no smell. smell great during flower not in a skunky/weed way so that's also good for stealth.

Am I reading your flowering time right at 12-18 weeks? I think my next harvest I will let it go about 12 weeks. |

yeah they really took a long time to flower but that's what to expect with near pure sativas. 1 more thing the high lasts so much longer than any other strain I've grown that in itself is worth the money for these.

I know attitude stocks them. And world wide marijuana seeds does as well. Mandala has their own seed bank, but it's closed until the new year.
I'm still pretty new to growing and I think it's been my easiest strain to grow. Just be careful not to overfeed. With satori, sometimes less is more in my experience. Last edited by HowardWCampbell; 11-07-2009 at 06:40 PM.. |
