Strain: The Church from greenhouse seeds, ordered 2 feminized beans through Pick n' mix seedbank.
Swiss Sativa X SuperSkunk X Skunk X Northern Lights

Growth:
1 of 2 seeds germinated.
This plant was a real slow starter, with short, indica dominant growth. The leaves have a unique serrated edge that i could pick out of a crowd without a problem. It likes a nice heavy feeding compared to other plants i grow but will do okay with less. After 5 weeks of growth, this plant gave me 10 clones and went into the flowering room under the 400w hps. The first couple weeks only saw a small amount of stretch.
Flowered for 60 days, pulled when trichs were about 10% amber, a little earlier than i usually chop, but i was feeling impatient so deal with it!


Nutes/Soil: Sunshine Mix #4 with hollands secret 3 part.


Yield: about a half oz + a bunch of popcorn and trim, not bad for what was effectively a chopped up mother.
We'll get a better idea of its potential this next grow.


Bag Appeal: 9/10 Nice frosty nugs that are deep green with dark brown/orange pistils.
It could be a little denser, but this strain is touted for its anti-mold properties, so i can look past it.


Smell: Very unique, like nothing else i've grown. A combination of coffee grounds and rotten garbage, but in a good way.


Taste: Strange enough, alot like the smell. Very smooth, earthy smoke. Leaves your breath stinking like the chron. My friend claims it tastes like the smell of patchoilli, but i don't really think so.


The High: A bit of a creeper, after smoking my first joint of this stuff i was questioning its potancy. So I went for a walk to the store. 2 steps out of my door it hit me like a ton of marshmellow clouds. A very euphoric high that lasts a good 40-60 minutes and is followed by a mellow but apparent comedown.
I would say that the high is semi-functional, a little stoney for a wake and bake, but i do it anyhow. What can i say, i like to live dangerously... high.
Quite good!


Comments: Overall, i really like it.
This is a unique plant that is truly something special. The second you get a whiff of it your mouth starts watering, despite the fact that it smells like rank garbage with a coffee undertone. It will be a feature in my garden for a long time.
I would recommend this to beginner and experienced grower alike.
I currently have a handfull of these in my ebb and flow area, I will post some pics of those tomorrow.

If you want a "classic" strain with a familiar flavour, try something else.
If you want a fast and frosty plant with a earthy stank and a nice hybrid high, this plant is definately worth a try.

thanks for the imput i just got my church beans today i been growing bagseed and practicing with my first 2grows ...now i think im ready for better genetics so i been ordering like crazy but after lookin at your grows you influnced to get the church ....hope i dont screw it up anyway im ramblin Stoned" thanks for the advice

I'm thinking of trying the church, but to be honest, I've got my eye on the Hawaiian Snow. Had any experience with that strain? Great White Shark looks amazing too.

Wow, your Church looks different than mine!

I am 3 weeks into flowering and expecting good things. So far it has been easy peasy lemon squeezy to grow and it can take some serious Nute Packing.

I will say that it has been a bizarre plant as far as smell and growth is concerned. The scent is weird and I keep hoping it get's more fruity but I guess not.

I will agree that this bitch has been a Slooooow grower. I vegged for 45 days and she was only around 8" when I went into flower ( I did top though).

The one really good thing I like about the Church is that she showed pre-flowers really early!

Your church is looking swell.
Dont sweat the slow growth too much, it will catch up mid flowering.
I've found with all of GH's strains i've grown that preflowers come quickly and apparently.
