    Default Northern Berry - PeakSeedsBC

I had my first taste of Northern Berry last night, it was a quick dry - bake at 106 C - but the bud was nice. I'm not ready to do a full smoke report until I cure some but I'd like to kick something in for this forum.

    http://www.peakseedsbc.com/seeds.htm

    .

    Strain: Northern Berry

    Breeder: PeakSeedsBC

    Genetics: Northern Lights #5 (BCSC) Female pollinated with a Blueberry(SAG) male. 60/40 : indica/sativa.

Growth: Pro Mix, high output 10,000K CFL for veg, 1000 W - MH for 4 weeks, HPS 'til finish for flower

    Nutes: Fox Farm, tap water

Yield: Multiple harvest, not complete yet - estimate 2 - 2.5 ounces total on 26" double topped

Bag Appeal: 6. Looks better on the plant, fluffy

Smell: 3, low odor. Slight Berry (my nose has been broken 5 times)

    Taste:
Slight Fruity taste, some taste is always lost with baking. No hacking or stickiness in the lungs. No foul taste of terpins. Very Smooth.

    .

    The High:

    Method:
    Volcano

    Cure:
Quick cure - Bake at 106C for 1 hour

Stone: I find it to be a medium stone - chills you out nicely but doesn't glue you to the couch. Good mood, content, slightly couchlock. Ears tingling, ringing, some pressure. Lose track of time, thoughts wander, forget things. Will become more complex and intense with a 4 week cure. My stomach has settled down. Relaxing with no aniety. Tingling on my skin on different parts of my body. Best stone I've had in some time.

Come down: Very gradual, no crash

Duration: 60 minutes stone, 1 hour chilling. Should increase with a cure.

Comments: Easy plant to grow. Turns beautiful purple late in flower, from the fan leaves first in to the buds last, starts at the top of the plant and moves down. I'm looking for an up-euphoric high but this strain would be very nice for someone who wants the ease of growing Northern Lights with the taste and good feelings of a blueberry. Solid genetics.

I'd highly recommend this strain and company for someone looking for a happy stone.

Thanks for the report. Please do update when it's properly cured

I've got some of those beans myself, so I'm definitely interested in how it turns out.

    Hobbes,

Calvin & Hobbes might have been my favorite comic strip ever.

Thanks for the NB review. I got skunkberry from PS a while ago, grew it (under my then, crappier more n00b setup) and I liked it for the most part. I won't review it now because that was too long ago and I was a mucb bigger n00b than now.

I was checkin out PS to see what they had because I agree with their prices and their tech support was/is good.

Seems like NB might be some stuff for me. I prefer easy to grow plants, and preferably medium to stout sized. If we were close to each other, I'd trade ya clones or seeds or somethin'. =D

Edit: shit yeah, looks like the PS site has SB seeds back in stock!

Glad to hear it's a happy stone. I had read another report that said it's a real kick to the back of the head and lays you out. I have them on order but have been waiting a while for them to arrive... wasn't sure I'd like the NL high. But if it sits me down and makes me happy that will be a good thing. If they actually arrive, I'll grow it to have a nice night strain to chill out with.

Howard I'll vape a couple of bags tonight and post while I'm on the 2nd or third bowl. Give a "hands on" review.

For now: Happy and slightly sedative. Very mellow stone, nice taste with a hint of cheese. No berry taste yet. Not as potent as I'd like, potency may come with time or on the next grow.

This strain is beautiful in it's last week of flowering. I have two on their final week or so and I must say the genetics are great for peak seeds prices. every plant I've grown from them has been extremely healthy and delivered as far as a healthy harvest goes. not to mention that thus far I have yet to see a male plant from my batch.
    just thought I'd add that.

    happy growing

    .

Strictlyrude do you find their strains to be of moderate potency? I've done NB, Skunkberry and Northern Lights and I didn't get a knockout potent plant. Beautifully healthy plants with great yields and beautiful stones and great taste, but not knockout.

What strains have you done, how were they? I've got Blueberry and Skunk seeds to germ in the future, have you done either?
